Probably just try walking around with those battery portable fans they're pretty strong so I don't think you'd even have to bend over but still if you do I'm sure it'll he quick and more evenly with the fan?
So those are a mosaic paver, correct? I do concrete, stamped, stamped deco borders, etc. When you do this with pavers, plus solvent based sealer, how to you prevent efflorescence from pushing out to surfaces and faces? I wish with paver products, they would put more care into their mixes, to prevent those salts frkm even being present in such abundance. Do you have a standard preventative measure?
These particular brick pavers are made by a company called Unilock, they are very good at taking extra care in there mixes and are constantly checking there suppliers and seem to have a much higher standard than others. That being said, We use this product (SURE BRICK SEALERS SWJSS solvent Wetlook joint sand stabilizer) on brick pavers, clay brick, natural stone, stamped concrete and concrete on over 700,000 square feet to this day. So we will come across efflorescence. We will clean it off with our SURE BRICK ECO EFFLO CLEANER, then make sure the surface is 100% dry before spraying on our sealer. Even to the extent of taking torches to remove the moisture (a very important step). Then we will shake on our SURE BRICK GRIPPER (for a slip resistant surface), then we will spray on SURE BRICK SEALERS SWJSS. It is dry in under 15 minutes, walkable and rain safe, in 4 hours it is drivable, crazy! We have been maintaining hardscape surfaces since 1996 (28 years) so we have seen a lot of different situations. Efflorescence happens when salt is being released from within the hardscape surface. Understanding how this process is actually happening is beneficial. When the surface gets wet and the water absorbs into the hardscape surfaces and then dries (rain, sprinklers, trying to clean with power washing) it draws up to the top of the surface the salt (efflorescence, white cloudy halos) and every time it gets wet and dries it brings more salt to the surface. Eventually the salt inside the hardscape products will run out and stop that process. Unfortunately there isn’t a exact time line (months or years) for how long this process will go on for. When you clean it properly an make sure it is 100% dry before you seal using SURE BRICK SEALERS SWJSS surfaces you will stop the efflorescence cycle. Here’s why, the hardscape surfaces won’t absorb the water into the hardscape surface, hence stopping the cycle of the water evaporating off and drawing up the salts from the middle of the hardscape surfaces. I hope this helped. Sincerely, “THE BRICK WHISPERER”
