In terms of the course, at UCT specifically, the available courses cover the department's four principal areas of expertise: Social psychology, Developmental psychology, Clinical psychology and Cognitive and Neuro-psychology.

Hey! I'm well thank you! I hope you are too :). I took: History, Bio, Dance Studies, Dramatic Arts, Maths Lit, Afrikaans, English, and Life orientation. In terms of the application, I think it would be good to have Bio/Life Sciences as you will have some courses that have to do with the brain, etc in Psych :). I'd also recommend having pure maths, but if not, it wouldn't be the end of the world :)

It usually takes around 10 to 15 years or more of education and training. Here's a simplified breakdown: 1. Bachelor's Degree: 3 years 2. Honours Degree: 1 year 3. Master's Degree: 1/2 years (2 at UCT) 4. Internship/Practical Training: 1-2 years (You will be practising as an intern psychologist at this point) 5. Community Service: about 1 year (This is a mandatory step before you can . Community service usually involves working in public health facilities, schools, or other community settings, providing psychological services under supervision.) 6. Doctoral Degree: 4-6 years 7.
