Thanks for this video. I've got one foot in the water on a RRR and this helped to visualize the end result. I like the tri-fold mattress, and floor coverings but a little on the fence on the wooden crates. One suggestion from a production standpoint. IMO, your filler music is way too loud. It should be quieter than your dialog not a bunch louder. Not a deal breaker to watch your vid. but for sure annoying.

Congrats! I am considering the Range Runner, but I've never towed anything. I drive a Kia Sorento, 6cyl. What are the specs on your Subaru and do you experience any issues towing?

FWIW, we had a "CLAM" & gave it away. They are easy to put up & are very sturdy, true. But they are heavy & packed up are pretty big. We have an old Chevy Astro van so space is at a premium. We reverted back to our old REI screen house. A third of the packed size & half the weight. Whatever you end up with, try to make sure the top is waterproof or add a tarp. You two did a great job showing us what things you have done in order to make for a more organized and comfortable camping experience in you Runaway. Like that shower caddie - smart solution. If I could offer one suggestion: when you pan a space with your cell, think about slowing the pan down a bit. Eyes can quickly scan an area, whereas that camera lens cannot. Hope you guys have an awesome experience with your new Runaway. I wish you success in your studies.

An idea to make those curtains a touch tidier, buy some wooden dowel, and cut them to match the width of the curtains. Then, fold the curtain back onto itself just enough to hold the dowel and sew it onto itself. Slip the dowel through, and when you use the bungee after you roll them up, they are nice and straight. As a nice bonus, the dowel will keep the sides from flapping about in the wind.

Hey another Virginian with a runaway R/R.. we ordered a 250w ceramic heater with a temperature setting so it cuts on and off. Think we will have to check out Suffolk. Have fun guys and congrats on the camper ;)

After my first trip in a Runaway, I learned that I needed my mattress up off the floor. It was too hard to get back up! :)

We had a 4x8 Runaway for three years and now have the 6x8 2020 fiberglass version - actually we have the #001 model! We are now doing a Ford Transit van conversion build and RU-vid series, but we will keep our Runaway for grandkids. I have done many videos for Runaway - we are good friends with the Shives family. I think I have over 1 million views of just my Runaway videos. Have fun and be safe!

Lighting idea is super clever. It’s nice to have some ambient lighting in the camper too. We just have a little candle warmer light that acts as a nice scent thing and a light!
