When discussing music with people, the first thing I'll ask......so, what do you think of Tom Waits? I get two reactions. One- that odd head tilt and blank stare. Two- ( pretending they know who he is)...oh he's ok. Tom Waits isn't for everyone, but if you just allow yourself to just truly listen to it...... Tom breaks down every wall, every idea, and forces you to dig deep in the pit of his voice and FEEL the music. I was first introduced to him with " the house that nobody lives". I've been a fan ever since. Masterpiece.
Waits released a remastered version and now the original (this version) is not on streaming services. This is the original and ONLY version for me! Thanks for uploading.
I will never understand why he thought removing the original version of this album was a good idea. He should have left both on streaming services. Anyway I agree this version is far superior to the remastered version.
@Missjunebugfreak Exactly! Kind of like George Lucas only releasing the CGI altered versions of the old Star Wars movies…it’s just not cool to “deny” us the original

The first time i heard this song was my first time four wheeling. My friends took me, his son, and two of our friends into the hills at 1 in the morning on halloween night. We drove for hours, drank the whole time, shot his 45 revolver into the night sky. This song is the soul of the greatest moment in my life
