At 9:01, you brought back a happy memory of the 1970s when I lived and worked in Frankfurt am Main for a short time. The very popular song of the time was Roy Black and Anita singing Schön ist es auf der Welt zu sein. The Annapurna trek is certainly a great place to sing this song.😊🎼🎶
Badhai chha bhai - congratulations brother- you made it. 🙂. On your way, you asked yourself "why do this"? Now you know why. The feeling of euphoria and the sense of achievement after you've finished the trek is the reason. You've proved to yourself that you can go beyond the limit that you thought possible. You are now a different and better person. It's a great video but as you yourself said, the scenery, the video, the pictures , the descriptions cannot be really appreciated unless you are there, on the spot yourself. And even when you are there you cannot find the words to express how you really feel. But the expression on your face said it all. As you were nearing the summit, and gasping to speak, I was afraid you were starting to get altitude sickness as you were feeling dizzy and feeling a little like you were tripping on mushrooms etc from lack of oxygen. These are the early signs of AMS, (acute mountain sickness), which can develop into something a lot more serious, even fatal. Just over a year ago at age 73 I did my second trek. the Mardi Himal trek but didn't quite make it to the high camp viewpoint at 3550m as planned. I started to develop AMS, feeling nauseous and dizzy. My two Nepali friends went on to high camp and I remained at 3210m about half-way between low camp and high camp.. I know you will continue enjoying your time in your "soul home", Nepal bhai. Hoping to meet up with you for a coffee or beer sometime after September. Subha yatra - Happy travels. Jai Nepal
