034 for the W for me. Got dudes on the forums going crazy over jackel for whatever reason. When Comparing mods my stage 1 car flew compared to others ive seen.
For the guy asking about cleaning the valves- Mine were not bad ALL at 80k miles on my EA839. Like maybe 5% of 888.1 with similar mileage. I can provide pics if wanted.
44:26 b8.5 3.0tfsi single exhaust question : I have this design on my A7 using OEM b9 rs5 center muffler. It perfectly clears the rear differential. It is dual 2.5” inlet with the single pipe being 3.x” diameter. The s4 already has quad tips so I would keep those . I paid about 300 for the b9 rs5 muffler and about 450 for both s7 mufflers. Shop charged under 300 to install. Purchased 2.5” downpipes from non OE non 034. There is a guy on RU-vid Christopher edgett has an s4 with a TRUE single exhaust . They welded shut the right side at the rear differential Y split so that only the left side has exhaust flowing. That was done for aesthetic purposes ( looks like a normal exhaust from behind and doesn’t require a new valence )
Would a 3.1 ratio using the 034 SC pulley and the 179mm crank pulley be ok for an 034 stage 2 tune or would I have to start looking into stage 2+ tune territory?
I have a 7.5 with a rear sway bar added... installing front sway bar and from end links to help settle the front end down. Any suggestion for upgraded springs? Not a track car... strictly daily driver!
So I replaced the hose and the inlet it’s connected to and I also checked the old hose and inlet it seemed to hold pressure fine but I still replaced it anyway since I had it off. I cleared the code and it came back on. Do you think it can be the oil crank casing that’s causing the same code to come back on?! Their is no oil around the crankcase itself that’s connected to the motor but I did notice a tiny bit on the top ring of the oil cap but not sure if that from the last oil change that was done. Any tips?!
You guys did a great job explaining things but my friend stumbled on this trying to prove me wrong I was saying a forced air ram intake so it's closed but has an inlet forcing external air into it faster you go more fresh air you get not allot of information on them
The guys were discussing open vs. closed, not forced ram air. Certainly forced ram air can overcome the intake restrictions, but if the intake is already free flowing with no pressure drop then ram air won't really help too much. In a sense it's somewhat of a gimmick compared to a well designed intake from the start.
Physical faults don't really appear until you push it as stated in the video. If you are serious, data log the car. You can see a lot of things that are going to be an issue when you continually push the car. You can see a lot of sensor data. Cat temps. Fuel pressure. Timing. Boost pressure. The list is huge.
As a 2018 owner, I can say yeah the first motor blew up, it had a defective piston. It happened to 5 others in my area, 2 were completely stock. All failures are 2018 YM and 30-70k miles. My new motor is 23k miles, half of that on stage 2 E85. It runs amazing and tows great. Some cars broke pistons, but way more have no issue at all. There is no worry for 2019 and up. If your car has the faulty pistons, it will blow up either way. FULL SEND.
It's unfortunate that we are starting to see EA839 engine failures from factory defective pistons, now into the dozens across multiple model years and different models. We've seen them on bone stock and/or tuned S4/S5, A6, and even Q7 now as well. Luckily this does not seem like a widespread issue, but we're sad to see it is an issue at all.
Any comments on the b8.5 updated mech units failing faster with a tcu tune? I recently had my unit replaced about 4000 miles ago if that and I put the 034 Race tcu tune on and it just failed within 1000 miles???
2021 Jetta 1.4t. Modded factory intake & APR 93 Stage 1 tune. Will I see any benefit adding a CTS catted Downpipe ?? I can get the DP fairly cheap but don’t wanna spend $600+ for the stage 2 tuning ???????
Hi there. I am an existing customer running your tunes on my rs5 b9 and loving it however please advise when we will have a flex fuel option for the rs5 b9? I can't seem to get a straight answer regarding this. This has certainly been a popular discussion point and I would just like a clearer answer regarding this.

You're likely referring to the false rumor that David "Panachode" keeps spreading, he has no evidence of this and is completely making up misinformation as he's a big supporter of one of our competitors.
I'm currently running the Stg2+ in my 3.0t S5. For the next couple of years my commute is only 10min. With the cold starts my Oil analysis are showing too much fuel dilution. Should I reflash back to maybe a Stg1 tune for now?
This is more an issue with how long you are heating your oil vs what tune you are running, you will want to run your car longer and heat the oil regularly or change your oil more often.
Hrmm its really sad that a s4/s5/sq5 with a bigger turbo runs close to this. The spread should be bigger. Im running the same mods yet were all limited to the same ets? For the money spent i thought it be more of a distance. Whats next to modify?
The 2.9T and 3.0T are pretty much equal once you put the 810 and 720's on each, not sad, just the physics dictate that the single turbo isn't down from the twin turbo as one larger turbo can easily flow what two smaller turbos can. Both cars also are fuel system limited, which we are working on solving, and at higher than these power levels a built bottom end becomes a necessity. Stay tuned for more!
@@034motorsport True this i know that the cars are both limited fuel wise. Some guys out in poland has already broken through that barrier but at what cost? i would assume lots of custom work etc. I guess for now I shouldnt complain lol

Does your RS5 have the upgraded head studs ? I just installed your High pressure fuel pump and bought your stage 1+ E85 tune buying your downpipes next We have a 2021 RS5 going to get your intercooler and turbo kit next . Car will be used for 1/4 and 1/2 mile . We were told head studs are recommended for 1/2 mile or road racing do to high cylinder pressure. But it was relatively reliable for 1/4 hits. What is your thoughts on 1/2 mile racing with 30-45 min cooling in between runs?
Yes, our RS5 has upgraded head studs. We'd recommend them certainly for 1/2mi hits, even with extended cooldown periods as that is a lot of stress and power to be made in a relatively short period of time.
