Thanks so much for this, mama! I've been freaking out and trying to find out what's wrong. This thing showed up like two three years ago, and disappears when it gets hot, but using clotrimazole constantly isn't sustainable. What's worse is it's on my face.
Omg I’ve had this since I was a kid and always was informed it was eczema, and now I’m so used to it and learned to live with it my dermatologist ended up giving me some stuff that worked real good and oral medicine is available if wanted to get rid of symptoms quickly but I’ve been looking for something without having to pay a co pay to get the medicine
Great info, summarized very well most of what I've read on different Websites. I was recently diagnosed with this, primarily on my face. My dermatologist prescribed Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo so will see how that works. Also heard that combining Coconut and Tea Tree Oils and using it every night helps as well, so I'll be doing that too. I might also add some Argan oil as that is Antifungal so it seems like a good addition to that mix. Hopefully, my condition will improve 🙏🏾
You can also use any athletes foot cream on the market it burns a little but is very effective at getting rid of the spot when left on everyday washing off every night applying it every day for one week and a half
Hi everyone, fyi - please Google tinea versicolor. If you’re from the UK, head to the NHS website. This condition is caused by a yeast fungus that lives on most of our bodies. However, due to a range of factors, it can overproduce and when it does it will feast on the sugars and nutrients on our skin, in our sweat and sebum. The yeast produces waste products which interfere with the production of pigment - causing lighter patches on our skin which don’t tan the same way as your unaffected patches of skin. Thats why the contrast in colour becomes more pronounced when you’re out in the sun, so it’s recommended that you use sunscreen. You can’t spread it. Take this comments section with a pinch of salt. All of our bodies are different and so a holistic approach to improve your diet and mental health may work for you, whilst others may benefit from medicated shampoos etc. Don’t worry. Also, it’s totally valid if you don’t want to be in a constant combat mode against the condition - I for one, try a range of things, but mostly accept that this flares in the summer and is natural.
Mine usually flares at around the same time as it begins to warm up/become more humid. These are the steps I took to reduce/prevent it; 1. Mild/sensitive detergent 2. Tinea cream And the best one…. Clinical strength Head and Shoulders - squeeze a pea sized amount into your hand and rub it into your skin like a lotion. Cover the problem areas. Leave overnight and rinse off in the shower the next day (you won’t notice it on your skin). Repeat every night. It will go away after a week or so.
Sooooooo I've been experiencing the same and it was veryyyyyy baaaddddd. I then decided to try "GRISEOFULVIN TABLETS" as was recommended to me (I used two dosage cause it didnt went away with the first dose) and trust me it worksssss like magic, not days but it worked!!!!!!! The only discomfort is that it makes your taste very uncomfortable since it has it kinda bitter taste. So througout the first half of the day if you take it in the morning it might make some of you uncomfortable so I'd rather use it at night. But all in all its the best medication I've used that actually works and I had this tinea versicolor for yearrrrzzzzz I used to call it lotta but my friend told me to google tinea and I did. Trust me Ive tried alllllll the products that alot of folks recommended from different pharmacies but GRISEOFULVIN aka (fulcin) its the killer!!!!!!!
I got this 3 yrs ago at age 70, hot tub and working in yard being covered due to bugs and I also used oil after shower. Overacted yeast under skin. I hate the itch thing while trying to walk or exercise. Also when the sweat ran down my face I have some there also.
I was searching yet another ezcema treatment because none of them work for me and I saw this video. Immediately I saw your back I said "yup, that is she". I always felt like my ezcema didn't look like any of the pictures I was seeing. Wow. Edit: I just want to say, I used Selsun blue and my skin has cleared up. Not to be dramatic but this video saved me
My husband has it on his chest back and arms. Now I think my 6 year old daughter is getting it on either nostrils (in the crease) and two stray patches on her forehead.
Im a dude I was diagnosed by two different doctors they told me it was eczema. I finally went to a dermatologist and they told me it was tinea versicolor. 5 years of suffering from fake eczema 🤣. I gave up un joining the military because of it too(you can’t join the military if you have eczema). The dermatologist gave me some pills they worked a lil but it didn’t leave completely. Im trying to see other ways to take it off. Btw I have the three types of patches redish, brown/black, and white.
I’ve had this since I was a child. You must change your diet and limit dairy, sugar, and wheat it is a must!!!! No matter how many pills the doctor gives you if you don’t change your diet then it will continue to spread because it is a FUNGUS also NO ALCOHOL….while I do eat some candy I make sure the grams are like 10 or less and eat the serving size. Of course it’s going to be hard but start off slow at first like start changing your chocolate to dark chocolates….slowly stop drinking sodas and switch your fruit juices to real fruit juice. And I like to use Nizoral since it has 1% of ketaconozole in it…..If you don’t change your diet to starve the candida/yeast it will continue to grow because it is a fungus that is out of balance in your stomach
I used to get it on my face and a spot in my neck. Now I'm 46 and its everywhere and my Dr gave me oral difflucan and had me use selsun blue and it didn't even budge. Since then it's even spread there not a a lot in my body that doesn't have the patches allover my body! Ugh if I have to change my diet I'm doomed. So u mean to tell Me I can't eat sugar, carbs or bread ever again? It's crazy that not even 1 Dr has time me to change my diet! I'll try to do that and see what happens. At this point in itchy and my skin actually burns at times.
How many months does it take for your white patches to show some improvements after you start using selsun blue??? Because I’ve been using the same product for like 3 months and they still haven’t shown much improvements so I’m not sure if I should continue using it for like at least 6 months or just start trying other stuffs.
That organiser is huge and far too big and bulky... never use compression bags as they are not good for packing, you are far better off with small and medium packing cubes , roll items tightly and neatly into the correct cube and not underfill it, items that don't crease can have the air pushed out of them but don't do it for the items that will crease! those compression bags ALWAYS destroy the clothes wrinkling and creasing them! you needed to fold then roll really tightl you have to put ALL liquids together in a liquids bag from both the carry on and the personal item. That case is HUGE! it is far too big and half full so you could have easily fit the stuff into that other case, it looks heavy and bulky too! I liked the items you took but you didn't pack right and light. I was frustrated by the actual packing and wanted to jump into the video and repack properly into the proper cubes and into smaller bags and ditch that awful massive case and ditch the awful compression bags lol
Thanks for sharing. I have this on my upper thighs, centre chest, arms and back. Had this for at least 5/6 years.. thought it was just a hyperpigmentation issue. Ignored it. As mine doesn't itch of flake. Saw it as a silent skin condition. I didn't notice it was spreading, until last month when it became quite visible on one of my upper thighs. Visited the Doctor in U.K who provided me with a shampoo Ketoconazole 2% and Clotrimazole creams 1% to try, and if it doesn't improve a dermatologist referral will be the next plan of action. Fingers crossed it improves. Only been 2wks since using the treatments. I only use the shampoo 2x a week as instructed and the creams 3x daily on affected areas as instructed.
You must change your diet as well since it is internal your dietary habits are causing the fungus to grow out of balance and take multivitamin and probiotic
I don't think to much for 15 days to person down below, ^ I think you did amazing I would pack same for my month packing to Jersey shore u am also over packer
Girl your right!!! Thank you for making it known that there isn't any photos of TV on google. I have gone through years of feeling alone with this as a melanated woman. Thank god I am not the only one that was confused on what I had as it wasn't showing up like google photos!
