wow - 2 special Canadian musicians. I met Jeff many years ago and Drew just graced my new album with his profound talent. So sweet to see them here together. Drew knocked it out of the park on my new tango Forever Together Apart ....playing both violin and bandoneon. Not at the same time....ha!
@@johnmcdermotttenor my dad actually turned my wife and i on to you guys and saw you at nassau coliseum. Then my wife and i saw you shortly after at San Diego Sports Arena. I still have the golf shirt i bought with the Irish tenors logo God Bless you John
@@johnmcdermotttenor My Dad, who was a decorated British WWII veteran, loved your songs. He was a beautiful tenor in his own right, and performed the Last Rose of Summer, as well as Waltzing Matilda. I remember my Uncle Len, also a WWII veteran visiting us in Canada, and playing for him your Waltzing Matilda.. He dissolved in tears. Your incredible interpretations have had more impact then you know. God Bless
My angel wife for 62 yrs. loved to hear the song " I no more will be passing this way again " ! She knew her race was run and could see the finish line ! My God , what am I doing here without her ?
I have attended many Remembrance Day ceremonies at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto and John has sung "Danny Boy" for the veterans there during the ceremony. The ceremony alone is a sombre one in which the hospital acknowledges the sacrifice of our veterans of war but when John sings Danny Boy, I am left sobbing every time. John has such passion for wanting to help our veterans and he has done so much for Sunnybrook Hospital and the veterans who live there. He is a saint of a man. God Bless you, Mr. McDermott
Interesting song. Enjoy the poem. Battle The Beast The night came quicker than usual, as it caught me by surprise Before I found some shelter, the darkness dimmed my eyes My panicked heart was racing, my legs instinctively took flight I aimlessly ran in circles, in the horror of blackest night In the distance I could hear it, the sound of a terrible beast I could hear its claws scratching, I could see the flash of its teeth There was no way to outrun it, for it traveled on all fours So, faced with just one prospect, I turned and faced the noise The blade I held, had a faint sparkle illumined by distant stars The beast knew I would use it, as it stalked me from afar My wait drug on for an eternity, as I firmly stood my ground But soon it would be over, for I heard approaching sounds Throughout my life, I purposely planned, to never travel at night It was the only way to miss the beast and avoid a deadly fight Yet, life has a sense of justice, not willing to let me cheat those plans From facing the beast who stalks me, from facing what haunts a man A silhouette sprang out of the blackness, striking hard the first blow I vollied back with the tip of my blade, causing the beast to moan Collapsing together, mortally wounded, the dawn began to break I saw the beast that had attacked me, it was myself, in whom I faced Battle The Beast By William Cooper From the book, Coop's Corner Collection Inspirational Stories and Poems Check out the first poem, (Lisa Moo Moo Marie) turned into a country song.

I agree and I love that song as well. Form WIKI: National anthem of Scotland From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia There is currently no agreed national anthem of Scotland. In sporting events and significant national situations, songs are used as de facto Scottish national anthems, most notably "Flower of Scotland" and "Scotland the Brave". The Scottish Government has not formally adopted an official national anthem of Scotland, and said in 2015 that it had "no current plans in this regard" to formally adopt a national anthem of Scotland. Also, who ever ya vote for, the government always gets in.🏴
Nice rendition, but just to be clear, the music was written by Leonard Bernstein with lyrics from Betty Comden and Adolph Green. Maybe the arrangement is by Bennett and Evans?
She is adorable. Reminds me of the Yiddish songs of Micky Katz which all had tongue in cheek. Her voice is good also. Great song!!! A little schmaltz is always welcome :)
Beautiful song. I mind ross getting mirren to sing a few words of it when she was just a wee thing. Id never heard it till then. Its lovely l like it. Xxx
