I went with Ryobi for my 20 volt tools and they are great for DIY use. I'm definitely interested in the compact M12 line. I haven't been able to justify it yet because I've got a 15 year old set of Craftsman Nextec 12v tools that just refuse to die. I did kill one of the two drills but the other drill, right angle impact, multi-tools, auto hammer, and rotary just keep going. The seven batteries keep going and they've held up through a couple of decks and residing my old house. I don't think those tools ever sold really well so I got them all on sale for maybe $200 total. 😳 Sometimes you just get lucky
When I was young and dumb, I used to buy tech stuff prophylactically before I actually needed it. By the time I used it, I could have bought the same thing for a quarter of the price
On mine the edges of the carriage bolt in the front were hitting the top of the Grove in the slide thingee so if I ground the Grove in longer in the slide I would be removing the silver galvanized coating so I took the bolt out and ground the to corners down where it was contacting the slide , put it back together and no I have the extra clearance for the shoe to to lay over a bit more to go square to the blade , didn't want to take this one back to hd because next one may have a different problem, my DeWalt 578 monster had a shoe sight line problem off almost a quarter in , same deal I could of takin it back but I fixed it myself 👍
They make Xanax for that level of ocd😊 now if you discussed the intermittent on off power switch as a real annoyance on this friggin model, I'd buy you a beer😊😊🍻
Great breakdown of this tool and some of the hidden features like the T-handle mode. I own this as well and it's in my tool-grab-bag at all times in my trunk. Really handy and has replaced so many other tools I used to carry. I like the Klein bit set you featured; might add that to the bag!
agreed, i have the m12 and m18 surge, and i just got the M12 circ saw after going against people who didn't recommend it.. so glad i didn't listen to them! it rips! i was surprised to see the mid torque on this list, That's the only tool here I don't currently own. I have the M18 high torque and the M12 stubby. If you've never had the stubby, You should check it out. especially the new generation, it's got really high torque specs.
I love this set and use it all the time. It's in my junk-yard tool box at all times for dash-trim and the like. I got my wife one for using around the house. All my kids have one. The uses are endless. Oh, and I bought one for all the cars to have just in case I have the need and don't have my truck tool kit. I think in all I have bought 10 of them so far. My son is a mechanic and works on exotic cars and 4x4 trucks and loves the small design. He said that might be the best tool in his box for doing little stuff in small places.
Cool video, excellent kit, great tools, love some Knipex pliers , (love the 4" & 6" irwin vice -grips also ) I like the little ratchets, personally i will never have a use case for them though.
@@projectpinehills Forsure, If i had literally any reason, id pick a set up, I do like the Stubby ratchets though & have used those plenty, usually 3/8 though
My furnace service guys were here this morning and they both had one of these awesome BRAUN 500 Lumen worklights from Harbor Freight. Watched your exceptional video just now. What an amazing price point. I ordered 7 of them, 1 for me of course and the rest as Xmas gifts. Thanks for a great video about this light. 5 Thumbs Up!
I'm very close I'm picking up a set of these. You just can't have one and not the other.. one of the very few pliers outside of Knipex that I consider buying.. buy once cry once. Generally you never need the warranty. Put rest assured they're all warrantied forever..
Sorry this is the worst experience I’ve had in a tool comparison ever, it like hey let me grab what I bought from Home Depot and see how it compares to my impact driver and then let me be a sales person for Milwaukee
