This video is very funny dude lol. In my case, I need it if I want to do high-end content because being on the other side of the continent and having no servers nearby give me a really bad ping that makes me have to dodge an attack 2 or 3 seconds before a mechanic or AOE finishes. which is basically impossible with pure reaction and without predicting it. :p
Just reflecting on how people often lack full awareness of the real-life challenges faced by other players. Unfortunately, this lack of understanding sometimes leads to trolling behavior towards others. Remember, empathy and kindness go a long way in online interactions.
The only only only thing that I would say Cactbot is a cheat in, is that it reads the network traffic to tell telegraphed attacks before the telegraph comes out. That's it. I'm perfectly fine with all use of Cactbot and don't care either way. But in some cases you can have up to 5 seconds of future sight thanks to Cactbot, which is a bit of a cheat. Even though I see it that way, I still don't care who uses it as this is a PvE game.
i love playing and streaming frontlines and cc for friensd and so on~ I enjoy pvp the most in ff14 atm as a gunbreaker... Sadly most if not all the discords i did check out were pretty barren or dead and even if i got some ppl they were pretty much trash talking or saying things like "pvp is dead no need to play it" uhhhh IDK, It's hard to find ppl for it or just to talk about it with them without ppl trash talking it ^^;
Wow what am i watching. Team is playing the objective and not just running it down, healer isnt playing with his feet, dps is actually changing targets. Is this a miracle?
I'm not sure why I watched this the whole way through. I was trying to see your view on it, and understand where you're coming from, but after a few explanations it was pretty clear. "Cactbot isn't cheating, because everyone who says it is.... should eat shit. And I said so. And they're all stupid. Leave me alone." I get comparing it to a raid leader, but isn't the point of getting good to... not need a raid leader? I'm just not seeing it my guy. It's a third party program that gives a player an advantage beyond normal gameplay - that's the definition of cheating at a video game. I really don't care what other people are doing with their game 99% of the time, but if it's World First stuff the developers have made it clear that cactbot is a disqualifying factor, and that's all that really matters. But yeah, posting a youtube rant isn't in the game, and this was one of the most immature and whiny rants I've ever seen. Ironically, the entire rant is someone complaining about people commenting on things that are actively being discussed - but this video has no direct context, so it's literally just a dude NOT minding his own business. So I just have to point that out, even if it's a year late.
As a Black mage player I can relate. You'll just be there out of range minding your own business and then your dead because of marksman's spite or some OHK ability that somehow wasn't line of sighted while you chugging an elixir. My personal favourite is the constant harassment by tank and melee classes in the backline while the rest of your party is nowhere to be seen and you think you'll put the 1 marker so they can help peel and then someone else puts the ignore marker on them to rub it in.
You're 1000% free and welcome to do whatever you like with your life and time. I am 1000% free to avoid you like the plague if you use stuff like this. You stay in your lane with your fake clears and I'll earn mine. Edit: You know, that came across a little strong. Not removing it because I'm not a coward, but if I could rephrase it, I would say something like "You stay in your lane earning clears a way you like. And I'll stay in mine earning them the way I like."
Funny thing is I've never minded this addon even when I was a console only player and could use it. To me it's the same as just having a really convenient raid leader. I'm usually in every Raid teir but I don't try the raids till late. I play this game for story so sometime I do want to get alittle help getting by that's why I US ACT now. I've personally haven't used Cactpot yet but I don't thing it's the worst thing someone can use as well
Can't find a team at my skill level. Everyone who still does cc aside for getting the series done is super good. No room for average players. You just get stomped. 2500 games made me realize this unfortunate truth.
Act okay in my book other I don't here why to you haters what ever makes the fun or Accessible for I say is far game world I get but who cares so what wow eso ffxiv LA exe player will no matter what will use pugins for covenants or help them.
Stating that people been using add-ons forever is moronic. WoW was pretty much dependent on other add-ons to be properly functional as the devs couldn't be arsed to fix things unlike in XiV. And I know for a fact that add-ons are a crutch and if taken away you will mess up Our guild had world's 44th kill of Lich King 25man HC and when it was on a very easy farm status and done all the various achievements for the drake mount, I requested to mix things up, and run ICC without any add-ons. We barely made it past Marrowgar. And the Blood princes and Queen, hah it steamrolled us. And these were the same guild/raid members who said raids was so easy as we usually cleared the new tiers within 2 months. And I found the raids without cheat tools and guides were much more fun and rewarding. Yeah takes longer to clear, but damn it feels so much better knowing you and your team all chipped in, made plans to try for tomorrow's raid night after finishing current nights run. Everyone wants things quick and easy. Never want to put in time and effort anymore which is a shame and as Yoshida said. Why waste time making hard content if people will just use add-ons to negate the hard part xD And about the part on how many wipes before leaving or kicking, I've never left an instance no matter how poorly things go. I tend to offer help to get people through. Most times it goes well, but other times people don't want my help, yet they have nothing against add-ons to guide them which scratches my head. Is it because the add-ons doesn't tell them what they are doing wrong unlike when a person says If X happens go to Y

what about people who are not trained? I personally, after 100 attempts, still do not understand how 4 pandemonium works. But thanks to a bot, I passed it. I have read 1000 guides. Taught the actions of the boss from the video on RU-vid. I still don't understand how blooddrake works. I will always forget where is left, where is right, where is north and where is south. Am I not allowed to play in complex content? And yes. I don't want to memorize mechanics with muscle memory. There are things in the world more interesting and useful than this. I just want to get a weapon and move on.
Very cool collection! I love the Uniqlo ff1 shirt. I bought a few from that line but the FF1 is just so classic and looks the best IMO. The black mage is super cute.
