Would jimi cutt his brother leon out of the estate?. I could be wrong, but Leon grew up with Jimi. Most anyone in 'leons shoes'' would've failed. Brother of Jimi hendrix? After Jimi died, most likely anyone would've been Troubled with drugs, in and out of jail .I'm sure leon caused troubles. Understanding, no one changed their lifestyle after Jimi died? Pcp! It's a genuine tragedy and all because senior Hendrix dad worried he couldn't trust Leon. Because Jane is half Asian he assumed she would somehow be good with money. A genuine shame. Her and her shuffling Chinese mother didn't have a clue what Jimi's music was about and then they just loved him once they saw he was famous. Really a sickening story of misspent funds to someone who got a fast track to millions because her mom shoved her into the picture. Produced by Janie, haaa, what a bad joke!!

Glad I read the book 1st before listening to this because there are major spoilers here. Wouldn’t watch this video until you’ve read the entire book if you haven’t read it but are planning to. Took me back to the boy in the striped pajamas in a way that really left me thinking. Thank you, John.
WHY CAN WE NOT HAVE MORE FOOTAGE!! COMPLETED PERFORMANCE CONCERTS!! Do we really need another book, interactive book or any other wise!! Do us a favor...there are a gazillion books out there...some good some not so good. Give us the fans what we want to see more concert footage!! Some concerts may not have been filmed but a lot was! Do us that favor!
Some time around 2010 Eddie Kramer did an interview where he said that the Hendrix estate would be releasing Films from here on out and he named about a dozen concert films in their possession, some of the locations I had never even heard of! When are you going to release those? I have been a super fan since 1973. I even named my son Jimi! I am now 63 with health issues but would like to see these before I die. Come on (Let the good times roll) the clock is ticking!

I have only read a couple of John's books, one of them very recently, and didn't know much about him. But wow! He is so refreshingly non- politically correct and interesting. What a contrast to tedious English writers like Ian McEwan.
Hope one day Jimi’s estate will get the rights to the movie of his performance at the Royal Albert Hall in February 1969, it is such a quality show, especially the recording and the unusual extra musicians that contributed to his music on stage ❤ It deserves to be made available for everyone to enjoy😊
Agree! I'm dying to see him play that 11 minute version of Stone Free. I'm sure Jimi appreciates Janie's handling of his library, but I think the one thing he would disagree with is the accessibility of his concert footage. It was his electric church and he wanted everyone to see and hear it.
