Im so proud of you! Look how far you have gone. I have been following since your first MCAT advice videos🙏 If this is not the American Dream I don’t know what it is then !
Absolutely loved this vlog! It's inspiring to see the day-to-day life of an internal medicine resident in such an honest and insightful way. The balance between clinical responsibilities and personal time really highlights the dedication required in this profession. As a medical student, this gives me a realistic yet motivating perspective on what to expect during residency. Keep up the amazing content it's super helpful for those of us preparing for the journey ahead!
This was incredibly helpful! I'm literally a 4th year med student doing audition rotations, and feel like I NEVER properly learned how to do presentations prior to watching this video. Thank you for saving me from looking super incompetent on rounds!!! 🤪🥰
Melisa, I have been following your journey for years and this video makes me so happy and hopeful because I am also a Cuban-American going though the process, and if you did it why can’t I? I’m so proud of you and I see very clearly in you how hard work pays off. Congratulations ❤
Awww gracias por esto! En que parte de US vives? This comment made my day! If you ever need any guidance in anything let me know, reach out through Instagram! All the best for you! and thank you again!!
What an inspiring story of yours DOC! Thank you thank you for you sharing. I have teary eyes. Thank you so much for your passion. Im watching your video all the way here in the Philippines! I'm aspiring medical doctor also. God bless you!
Goosebumps from watching this. Amazing day, for you, me, and your family. I’m positive you’ll do great in residency and excited to see how far you’re going to make it in life!
this has been the most helpful video ever for oral presentations for surgery, and i have watched like 20--yours is the best, most clear and most relevant
hii!! the ipad was super useful for writing on top of the many powerpoints you have to review for lecture, but you can work it out with just the macbook air, you can use other ways of active learning such as regular notebook paper and noting down things while you watch lecture, it helped me pay attention and note down my questions about specific topics
Thank you so much for this video. I started my surgery rotation today, and I was completely overwhelmed by the thought of presenting my first patient tomorrow! This is an awesome template to use for the first go-around and adjust as needed for each attending/resident. Thank you for taking your time to make such a thorough video! Many blessings to you when Match Day comes around!
I think pre-med you can do anywhere, is just the medical school is only in main campus but you can apply there even if you are at the biscayne campus for premed
@@MelisaRodriguezS thank you so much!!! I thought that Biscayne was the main campus for a long time then I realized the main campus was in coral gables😅. And I heard that people take classes in different campuses is that true?
Thank you for doing this video. It sheds light on a medical specialty that is poorly showcased, understood and appreciated. Especially with the tidal wave of aging and metabolically unhealthy populations. Very interesting to see the conversation with a resident's review of findings and the exchanging of information. I agree; we spend so much on "health care" with unfavorable outcomes. Lifestyle medicine, healthy movements, nutrition, and relationships should be practiced by both patients and doctors alike and not just be discussed. Implementation, follow-up, and active participation in the federal and local level of health care policies and practices. That, I understand, is another slow-moving wheel that can further add to the burden. Thanks again. P.S. Are you doing this specialty, too?
@@MelisaRodriguezS i was suppose to write this in resources youtube channel Ike mes perfectionis but auto play pull it to this vid which i havent watched and have no idea about
