Its been a hot minute since I sat and played, hymns used to be what I could pick up by ear pretty quickly. I dug out all your tabs when we moved up to PA, but I aint had much time to play since then. Need to start playing again
I'm Glad you like the song, and it's heartwarming to know that it reminds you of your brother. It's one of my favorites. My dad sang it to me often as a child. It's an old 1800s song with a wonderful message.

Thank you for the comment. I'm glad you like the song. As a child I loved this song so much. We went to an old country church. It's always had a special place in my heart. It also reminds me of my dad, too. We had a family band. He would be a 105 yrs old today.
Your life was so similar to mine. We had a family band too. We also went to a little country church that I still attend. Fond memories. My dad would be 93 in September. My family played all kind of instruments without ever having lessons. Just plain old natural talent. I miss it all. Thanks for commenting back. Stay safe
