The Fox Hunting Act needs strengthening, all loopholes closed. Trail and Drag Hunting Banned as hunts cannot be trusted! A Reckless Clause added to the Act with custodial sentences for hunting crimes.

Disgusting. How she was ever found 'not guilty' is beyond me. What sort of message does this send out. This verdict needs to be looked into and jurors should be questioned as to why or how this verdict was arrived at.
This is a reminder that Brainwashing children into hunting is WRONG at every level. Hunting belongs in History's dustbin with the lid firmly closed. I wish the boy a speedy recovery. Hope this is a lesson to STOP HUNTING. Animals are sentient beings and it's their lives too.

I’m all for working dogs. But the game has to have a sporting chance. Only the strong survive. Not sure how hunting with dogs is banned but shooting isn’t. With that I mean how many actually can out run a gun??? So the percentage of game caught when using dogs I’m sure I read is roughly 15%. Wonder what the ratio is to guns????
Hunting with dogs is banned because it's the working man's game. Many years ago hunting with hounds & horses was a working mans pasts time after a hard day's graft down the pits that's fact. The shooting game is for the more upper class. Conservative yuppies

I’ve had dogs all my life and they come first before anything and anybody, their needs are put first before mine and even though I haven’t much of an income I always make sure that I have plenty of dog food in as I’d rather go without than see them go hungry. But as for these two animals and many more animal abusers the law needs to be addressed and much harsher prison sentences. I reported a guy for badger baiting years ago as his terrier was completely torn to pieces and I know for a fact that the dog had not had any veterinary treatment as this guy had moved in rented door in the village where I lived. The police who I had a close relationship with as I was a former special Constable were involved and his dogs were seized and taken to a vets but due to lack of evidence and his close relationship with the hunt as he worked for them saying he’d taken the animal there and treated it himself, which I know he didn’t no further action was taken. This guy is now a whipper in for a well known hunt and I’m just waiting for the day he slips up again which he will and I’ll make sure I’m in the public gallery to watch him get taken down.

I guess these people want to stop lions from hunting, it’s perfectly natural for animals to hunt other animals, including dogs. In Australia we shoot thousands of foxes every year as they’re vermin
Lions are part of the natural food chain. These dogs are domesticated animals, they have been bred by humans, are not part of the natural food chain and without human interference wouldn't even exist. They have no place in the wild. Comparing a wild animal's natural behavior in nature to setting your dogs loose to tear around the countryside killing wildlife is asinine.
Bit confused so a dog which is a natural hunter isn't allowed to do what it's DNA is designed to do just because you don't like it. Do you stop a lion chasing a gazelle??? Before any one comments learn what line of dogs are blood,sight,gun, etc etc this is thousands of years of nature you are preventing. A dog does NOT get born to sit in a living room chase a tennis ball eating dog treats....if you wanna ban fox trails then ban dogs completely from domestic ownership PERIOD! as this is more cruel to prevent a dog from doing what is clearly within it's DNA just because you have a family pet doesn't make it humane at one point certain humans had humans as pets we soon learnt that was wrong didn't we.
Comparing these dogs to lions is ridiculous. Lions and gazelles are a natural part of the food chain. These dogs have been artificially bred by humans for the sole purpose of fox hunting. There is nothing natural about them, without human intervention they wouldn't even exist. If you're worried about these poor dogs not being allowed to do what they were bred to, why aren't you taking your complaint to the hunts, and ask why they keep breeding them by the thousands each year even though their sole purpose of existence was made illegal 19 bloody years ago??
