Been over it, its a straight over cross road only, trams not on the gates, gates used to run the coal line for the power station. So just stopped the west/east rd the filming was done on. Clever setup on the tram. All the lights west/east turn to red. Trams running a old pit line too, it was 2mile away.
No way...I've read ALL of the official signage/signals specification documents and I've never seen this, albeit it was a bit of a while ago. Is this really explicitly allowed? Or is it just implicit? It makes sense, just is this a real coded thing?
I honestly think it is allowed, there isn’t much difference and you might not even be able to tell the difference sometimes. The green arrow is a normal coded one but the yellow arrow might just have been given the arrow cover as maybe there were leftover spare bits
It honestly depends on whether you live out in the country where there are little traffic lights scattered about as this was found in the city of Nottingham or you just haven’t taken notice as there is little difference.
@@EofETrainsandLCs Well I live not far outside of Coventry. There's probably some of these there but I've never seen one. You live and learn I guess. I need to brush up on my highway code because it made me realise if I did come up to this I would not know what to do 🤣
Hey @Sir_LagALot, I know this level crossing was there only a couple of weeks ago. Saw a Class 37 banging past awesome sight. Interesting that the barrier was down for 30 seconds or so where I live now deepest south of UK our local level crossing will close for anything up to 10 minutes letting several trains through. I am sure they could improve that but don't seem to want to lift the barriers much!!!!! Anyway lovely to see this crossing and remember.
Search for 'Tonbey Level Crossings' or search for 'CentralTexasRailfan' in players and look at the 'creations' menu. There you should find the game I mentioned earlier.
