Join me on a journey to simplify everyday living. I like to flex my creative muscles with calendar planning - and - share ideas about decluttering and owning less to make more room for the relationships and experiences that are most important to us.
I like the idea- i think ill try it, but probably not when i have grandkids here. When theres 3 to 6 kids, i dont think its feasible. ( But, hey, it might be better, i may try😅) But, i think it would be great for just me and my husband. And for us, i wouldnt worry about scrubbing every stain out, just as long as i knew it was washed.
Cloth napkins stain way too quickly, IMO. I only used them for thanksgiving - and after one or.two uses, they had stains that just won't come out. Sure, maybe if I spent several minutes on each one, pre-scrubbing - but can you imagine doing that every time you do the wash. There is a reason we gave up on cloth napkins in the 50s.
I love this idea; however, my husband would grab half of what's in your pretty bowl at every meal. He does the same with paper towels (5 or 6 at a time) if we're out of paper napkins. 🙄
True. We don’t buy paper plates either. With just 2 of us, washing napkins and dishes is easy to manage in our household. But of course, I realize it may not be the best option for everyone 😊. Thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts.
We use cloth napkins. Actually, they are hostess towels They make perfect napkins. You’re gonna be washing your laundry anyways. So it doesn’t take up that much room in the washer.
I am new here. First video I watched was your mom’s closet. I am 52 years old and have heart issues so I have been cleaning out my dresser drawer, trying the closet but was having trouble. As I was watching you all it was helping me to know what questions I am going to ask myself. I don’t own many belts but just watching again gives me the help I will need to just free up stuff. I know I might feel good with less and see what I own. Just would like to say thank you to you and your sisters and specially to your mom.
Thanks so much for watching and sharing such sweet comments. I’m so glad my videos are helping you! You can do it! Just stay on this Road to Simple with me and we’ll make it one mile at a time! 😊
As we age women need to realize that we can become adjusted to smells and may not realize the top they wore a few times without washing may be over sprayed with the perfume/cologne they like to spray on before leaving the house. Have you ever had an older woman walk by and they about knock you over from the cloud of perfume that follows them? Belts? I have a few for as I lose weight they help keep my jeans in place until I get down to the next size. 😉
I loved watching this so much, your kindness and respect to your lovely mother was beautiful to see. Thank you for being so thoughtful and gentle with her process.
I have 2 necklaces of the rolled paper beads. I recommend attaching sentimental brooches to toss pillows on your bed as an extra decoration. I hang necklaces on on mirror corners. I go through my stuff occasionally try to declutter what I don't wear. Oh yes, bracelets can be an extra decoration on a flower vase. Mine is basically costume jewelry which I've gotten 2nd hand, no big money outlay. I still wear pins, tac pins & larger brooches. Don't care if others think it's out of date.
Hi! My name is Angie also! lol I just found your channel this morning. My husband and I have had chickens for years. They are mostly my husbands babies. He has built them a mansion of a house in out backyard. We live on an acre. They are so spoiled. haha. I have that sticker book as well. I bought it just for the chickens. I haven't used it yet, but you have inspired me!! Great spread. This turned out so cute! I subscribed to your channel. Take care.
Well hello there, Angie! So nice to meet you! My husband and I both love our chickies, too! They make such fun pets. How many chickens do you have? It’s so wild that we are both Angie’s, have chickens AND have this exact sticker book! So cool that we have connected here! Thanks so much for subscribing ❤️🐓❤️. I’d love to see what you do with your stickers!
I decluttered my jewelry. All the costume jewelry I gave to my cousin, she makes art with jewelry. I gave some of my grandmother's jewelry to a first cousin's daughter. I bought a smaller jewelry box from FB Marketplace. I don't miss any of what I decluttered. It's hard, but you are doing it🎉
