What kind of things are you selling ? I've hit a wall, all I'm seeing is cosplay shit, Halloween shit, fidget toys and all different shapes and sizes of tubs, is there anything decent and useful ?
I want to buy one, but I'm very worried about the atmosphere in which I'm putting it?' If I put it in my room and adapt a suitable job for it to complete the printing of the model
Sam, I believe in you. You have a creative mind, and that is awesome. Do you, and explain how and you’re doing great. Bury yourself in this, and you will become an expert. peace brother
What can you do with your lasers? And, why lasers instead of 3d printers? It’s all technology, just wondering your thoughts. peace and love your content!
Hello sam, nice video, i just wanted to ask what ups are you using, i used a 550w ups and when i started the print, it shut down, i read that the first 1-2 mins of the print it heats up and takes 1100w power so maybe the ups was not powerful enough. Can you say what power is your Ups capable of. Another question would be what are u printing it would be an interesting video to watch. 😃
I'm using this exact UPS: amzn.to/3N8qoWj It's a 1500VA / 900W. I have a max of three printers connected to one UPS. If I start the jobs all at once, it will alarm since the heat beds are over voltage, but it doesn't shut off. I circumvent this by not starting the 3rd print job until the 1st has finished the initial heating of the print bed.
My first floor of anything, is 2x8 PT, with double skirts. Pressure treated 3/4” plywood, staggered. And, pressure treated bottom plate. That helps with bugs, water, and strength forever.
are your joist and studs a different layout because if they are the same, wouldn't it be difficult to nail the bottom plate to the joist if the studs fall right above each joist?
I always come away with some very good information. Just got my X1C and I have been learning fusion 360 to design my own 3D prints. My main customer is my husband. He added onto his machining business and had me make him some duct hangers, air manifold spacers and a part for a spring winder that we no longer have to outsource to have made. Keep those videos coming I learn something new every time.
Great video! It's impressive how you've organised your mini 3D printing farm. I can see that a lot of time and effort was invested in setting up the equipment and optimising the processes. It was especially interesting to learn about your choice of printers and materials, and how you manage production and orders. Projects like this are inspiring to start your own 3D printing business. It would be great to see more details about software and process automation. Thanks for the detailed and informative content, I look forward to the next videos!
Dude your excitement over the framing being square was on point. I was excited when I made a perfectly square cut without a line or square. I checked it after I made the cut and it was perfect. I'm completely feeling your excitement lol
I’m glad you had better luck than I did. Flies tend to congregate around my front door area in the summer , I guess because it’s cooler being totally shaded. I replaced the can light out there with one of those and although all the parts work well the fan isn’t a strong enough of a draft to discourage the flies from still buzzing around there. In fact, I feel no movement whatsoever.
Hi Sam, I hope you find a moment to answer my question. A year ago, I opened an online store, which turned out to be quite a success, something I didn’t expect. All the products I made were with the xtool d1 pro 20w with the extension kit. The laser is great, but it doesn’t allow me to scale the business. Now, I need to purchase two machines - one is a CO2 laser that will speed up work with wood and plywood and also allow me to work with laminate (acrylic). I’m receiving tons of inquiries for engraving metals, and I’ve missed out on a few great orders. I definitely need a fiber laser. I'm a bit limited on space since my workshop is at home, and for now, I’m not planning to move, so I can’t fit a large machine. Here’s my question - is the P2 laser suitable for scaling a business, or is it more of a hobbyist/DIY machine? I’ve read almost the entire internet and feel like I’m back at square one, not knowing what to believe anymore. I’m also considering the purchase of an F1 Ultra for metal needs. I’d appreciate your opinion, as the internet is flooded with paid reviews that are hard to trust. From the very beginning, you’ve been a reliable source of information for me. PS: Thanks for the material test you sell, it was the first thing I bought on day 1! Best regards, I’m happy to see you grow!
For the top mount AMS system, you want 32 inches of clearance for the machine & tubing to fit without rubbing anything. I would say about 22 inches of clearance for the regular setup with AMS on the side.
thanks for the very informative video. Just one question on setting tension. I know you have to set tension on bobbin pretty often but what about the thread itself? just curious as I'm thinking about purchasing one.
Thank you for the tour Sam! I purchased my first and second X1C May 2023, and the P1S in December; I run these at work 24/7 and have a very similar setup. i have not been the happiest with the P1S due to the features offered, for context we had a network outage (no connection to Bambu Server) and it rendered the printer nearly useless because i could change filament. My needs are primarily PETG and PLA and after watching this i am considering the A1 for any new printers.
Best thing I ever did was let my 3 sons as they were growing up work in my garage and my machine shop. Today they now own a thriving CNC machine shop. Great job young man 👍🏼👍🏼
Is this pier foundation system still possible if there is an existing tiny home that's sitting on cinder blocks? I love the way you set up your post. Its perfect
