@@KevinWolfay you can adjust your wheel if there not align by adjusting the tie rods. But if the wheels are cambered that means your. a arms might be bent
Once they are stripped. Take small pair of vice grips. Then replace them. I found someone put rtv red ox in the top seal of throttle. This is my first 2 stroke quad. Wondering if it's air filter sensitive. I know some are. Where it doesn't throttle up like should. Too much air. Any opinions or suggestions? Hit me up.
@@johnramirez5996 yes it possibly could be sucking in too much air. OEM there should be a rubber gasket or flat o-ring looking think that goes there. You can get them on eBay with a genuine carb rebuild kit
@@shiftintogeargarage813 ty i ordered an air filter. OEM style. Aftermarket screw with it as well. Love the ones (even in cars) think putting upgraded air filter gives you more power. Always tell them if computer doesn't know its there. Your just running lean losing power. And unlike my chainsaw. There's not much for adjustments. Low speed high speed and in some apps. You have mid range. So any upgraded filter is out.
Fun times, I bought a yamaha blaster for my daughter she is 21 years old now. Still loves to ride. I modded it, it will beat a Polaris scrambler 400 2-stroke 4x4 in a drag race for two high line pole lengths.
@@shiftintogeargarage813 I found a 10.3:1 compression piston did a full port n polish. Changed intake from a 28mm to a 34mm intake and mikuni carb, kept the oil injection... went a tooth taller up front installed 23x7 up front and 22 inches out Back. It's at the limits of 91 octane, even worked the transfer ports
I recently bought one for a steal but I can’t seem to find the make and model on it.. it has a Honda sticker that’s pretty beat up bad and the only thing I can see is 8/94 and the big numbers are really faded bad but the last one I can see is 5 would mine be a 1995 cr125r. I’m new to all this my first dirt bike and it needs a top end rebuild but I’m stuck trying to find the year of it..
Full port n polish and change the stock piston at 6.6:1 out for a 10.3:1 piston along with the intake to a 34mm intake and mikuni carb with a breathable air box lid. Waken the kraken from within, plus go taller up front on the sprocket and down out back. 23x7 up front for tires, and find light 22 inch tires out Back. You'll be surprised pushing 70mph and it will be quick...
@@shiftintogeargarage813 I modded my daughter's Yamaha blaster, in a drag race against a Polaris scrambler 400 2-stroke 4x4 for two high line pole lengths it jumps out to a quad in a half ahead and holds it to the finish. Not joking. The stock set up is soo mild. Look up herjugs racing he goes over port n polish on the yamaha blaster. I had Dennis Rantanen from DR Motors do the porting for me. He was getting 147hp from his arctic cat 600 mini sprint Motor, naturally aspirated. He is 70 years old now, awesome mechanic but getting slower with his age. I live in between arctic cat and Polaris industries. Cool company up here is northern crankshaft in thief river falls mn. They can build you a custom crankshaft to put two motors together
@@shiftintogeargarage813 look up herr jugs racing faster blaster. The guy is very good at what he does. He explains how to port n polish. He even works the vito's 240 kit and throws away the vito's base gasket because it's too thick and it will take it out of its prime hp potential.
Noice. You don’t have to do heat cycles on a nikasil bore I’ve rebuilt over 30 two strokes the whole “wear in” thing is for steel liners. Never had one blow flat out from the build good oil and away you go.
@@Crash.7434 throttle override system. comes stock on the blaster and is meant to cut spark and limit throttle if it detects something is wrong but they malfunction so much its easier to just get rid of it.
@@stevowater7845 how difficult is it to take it off? And does it cost anything? I also really don’t know how to tell if I have it on my blaster, I have a 97 and only real problem I’m having with it rn is the petcock sticking closed and not letting enough fuel get into the line to the carb. At least I think it’s the petcock.
