Timeless peace spreads when people stop and create sounds like this. Timeless peace is what this world urgently needs, instead of consumption, conflict and hectic pace. Just peace.
A coffee ☕ in the morning and this music manage to push everything negative that unfortunately exists in excess in this world into the background. THIS must be real magic.
I just found this video today, and I'm listening to your beautiful cello music while I do some work on the computer. The cello is one of my favorite instruments, and I am in love with your style! You just got a new subscriber! 😊
Such a beautiful comment, thank you. I hope to make more live cello & sea recordings soon. I find it quite hard to get the audio right in outdoor recordings.
@@TheWongJanice You're welcome, I really deeply enjoyed this. With an electronic cello you could record the sea at a different time than the cello and level the volumes afterwards. But this is just an idea because I have no clue if the electronic cellos sound as good as the acoustic cellos. On the other hand it would probably be overkill to buy the electronic cello just for the sea recordings. Completely different kind of music, but "The 2 Cellos" did some pretty awesome ACDC covers on their electronic cellos.
@Waldemar_la_Tendresse thanks for your thoughts on this. I have an electric cello but it doesn’t sound as nice as the acoustic/classical cello- therefore I probably have to make electric-cello music (perhaps more drones and synth-like) and move away from trying to make music sound like the classical cello..
@@TheWongJanice It's pretty good the way it is right now. Doesn't need any big changes IMHO. This was just me typing some parts of the stuff my brain spills out from time to time. 😉
@Waldemar_la_Tendresse haha don’t worry, I’m all ears. I’m pretty picky about how my cello sounds and still trying out different methods for recording live videos in nature. Eventually yes I might do an electric set-up so I don’t have to deal with the background noises!
Oh nice! If you have questions about the cosmos I will be happy to answer them. Otherwise, thanks for stopping by my channel and all the best with your music making :)
So nice seeing you again! Missed your show live but caught the replay and enjoyed it so much! The Q&A at the end was very thoughtful and most welcome. Keep doing what you're doing and stay blessed Janice!
Because of my concerns about the title of the piece, and I sincerely hope I'm not being too intrusive with these: I think time can't really heal wounds, not for all of us. For some, it can simply make us pay less attention to them. And sometimes someone gives us moments, for example in the form of great music, a smile or a new experience, that make us completely forget these wounds. But wounds never heal completely, not even the comparatively simple ones of a knife cut. How could more complicated wounds even begin to do this? That's probably why people talk about the lightness of youth.
Thanks for your thoughts. Indeed time can’t really heal, and whether anything improves at all depends on what you do with that time. For me the title of my videos are not so important but I have to include one, so I hope you can focus more on the music
Thank you for these quiet sounds as a contrast to this eternally noisy world. "Hainbach" has some interesting sounding Mbiras in his channel, unfortunately I couldn't find the manufacturer quickly. But I know that their sound inspired me. As a bass tone lover, you might also be interested in a harp guitar? "Jamie Dupuis" has the perfect channel for this. Their sound is indescribably great.
Both interesting tips thank you! Hainbach is interesting with his Mbiras and Kalimbas.. can’t say it’s really something for me though. Jamie Dupuis’s harp guitar is very unique - beautiful sound
Another very nice piece, just the title might eventually a little misleading. I currently use more electronic instruments, but I think acoustic instruments like the cello, violin and piano are simply irreplaceable. Klaus Schulze's "The Cello" is a very good example of a symbiosis of both sound worlds.
Hahah that’s a hilarious take on the ‘confetti’. I must admit I’m not the best with graphics for music videos, but very happy that you enjoyed the music as that is the most important part!
@@TheWongJanice Great sense of humor, TWJ. Seriously, the proliferation of modern graphics tools makes it easy for an amateur to do it themselves. I'm certain one of your many fans has graphics skills and would gladly create something for you that is in sync with the mood of your music, not fighting it, as it is now. No, I'm not selling anything nor offering to redo it for you. I'm just a fan who'd like to see you better served.
In 2019, I myself found music as a balancing element to all the madness taking place in our world, I'm currently looking into the Cosmos and I have to be honest, apart from Matt Johnson Jamiroquai's demo, this is the first presentation that has captivated me. Congratulations. And after watching a few other videos on your channel, I can't help but subscribe.
Thank you so much… really appreciate that you left me a comment and subscribed! The Cosmos is something special. I myself am still learning to use it in interesting ways
@@TheWongJanice Logically, it cannot be quite so simple, as it leaves the familiar terrain, like most of Vlad Kreimer's works. However, you have probably intuitively found a good mixture of softer sounds and rather short, slightly rhythmic parts, so that it has satisfied my usually rather high qualitative demands. I think his latest creation, the Flux, might also be interesting for your work.
Ah yes, there are many settings and modes and also I was thinking of trying the ‘rhythmic’ mode soon (you install it with a USB) as then it works more like a typical looper. I personally don’t ‘get’ how to work with short rhythmical sounds so I am glad my music has satisfied you. Thanks for sharing. I did not know about the Flux!
@@TheWongJanice You're welcome. I hope my assumption that the Flux might suit you, based on the type of music you make, wasn't completely wrong. My guess is, that the arhythmic mode is way better for your ambient style of music. The sentence "You install it with a USB" somehow tells me that your music is better than your knowledge of all these things that are far too complicated anyway and unfortunately often quite pointless. But in case you need help, feel free to ping me, that shouldn't be a problem for me. In return, you can teach me something about cellos.
@@Waldemar_la_Tendresse haha yes fortunately I can play the cello and have spent hours and years on it - can’t say the same about audio tech as it’s a newer part of my craft. But yes, I might not have used the correct wording but I am nonetheless happy that I understand the concept of changing the firmware with the flash drive if needed! Thank you for the offer to help in exchange for cello knowledge. I’ll keep it in mind. Cheers
@@TheWongJanice After I was done typing I did stay and watch your session. A welcome mind-idling counterbalance to today's manic society. Thanks for losing time with me, Janice!
Thank you for your wonderfully healing music! I am in the 3rd day recovery of bounce back Covid-19. I took Paxlovid and tested negative after 5 days, then Covid-19 bounced back. I will be free from it once and for all in the next few days. I pray that all who read this is healed by the light and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Hi John, thank you so much for your kind words. I will definitely consider releasing my Insight Timer live sessions soon, perhaps on Bandcamp. Thanks for your support!
I struggle with the fear of my hands not being on the correct strings for the harp & left hand position for cello. I don't trust myself that I can be correct😢
No need to fear. If it ends up being wrong then you can just adjust! As long as you can ‘hear’ when you are wrong that’s probably more important than having the fingers / hands in the right spot all the time. That takes practice and experience. Even I get it wrong sometimes but when I hear it’s wrong I can shift. All the best!
