I'm Christian Beyer, I own an automotive repair shop based in Eau Claire WI. I have a passion for working with my hands and in the trades as a general whole. I also have a passion for tools and I love collecting them as much as I love using them.
So follow along as I go over the things I do in my daily life, the things I learn, and the tools I buy, organize, and review episode by episode.

I stay away from brands like Snap-On, Festool. Knipex, and other German tools because I consider them vanity tools. I will pay 3 or 4 times more for a tool only if it's 3 or 4 times better than other tools. Haven't found one yet.

If you expect a direct correlation of cost to performance then you'll always be disappointed in all things. There is always diminishing returns, small improvements become more costly, this is the same across literally everything in life.

Thank you for the information in this video. I’m in a position in my life where I want to change my career as a 12B combat engineer for the army to a heavy equipment tech. I have a very strong mechanical background always had a deep passion for the trade. I’ve worked on excavators, bulldozers, back hoes, and big army equipment for over 5 years. I’m hoping to get my ASE certifications through the army. I have a CAT rental/ dealership I am interested being hired by. I just don’t know if they will take me. If you could give me an experienced opinion on my situation it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I feel sorry for these Men and women who fall for this crap that have to feed their families and pay bills and mortgages, rent, car insurance, medical insurance, gas only to work triple hard just to make a payment on those Tool Box Brands which would take them 50+ yrs just to finish paying them off. Sad. On top of that they got to pay interest to.

I also hate that some of these guys go into huge amounts of debt for this stuff. It kinda blows my mind. I can see buying the ratchets but with sockets you should never buy those from the tool truck. Everyone I talk to says there is no reason to buy those because even the Pittsburgh impact sockets will last a way long time. Wrenches? Just buy Tekton, Capri or Gear Wrench. The thing that's funny is that people say "If it breaks I can warranty it." Well IF you break something that costs 1/4 (or more) the price you just buy a new one. The only reason to buy tool truck stuff is to support US labor. But I look really carefully for US made tools and with hammers, pry bars, screwdrivers, pliers and some other things you can find all those US made. They usually cost a bit more bit they for sure don't break the bank. My two cents.
@TraydonDunkheel
@TraydonDunkheel 13 дней назад
I will say obviously if there is a specialty tool that you can only get from the tool truck than it makes sense. Another thing is NEVER buy tool truck electric tools. Just get Milwaukee or hell even DeWalt has some killer impacts.

@@TraydonDunkheel I recently got me 2 Milwaukee impact guns 1) 1/2 inch pact, 2) 3/8 impact guns for less than half the cost at a pawn shops. Look into buying high price brand names look into buying at pawn shops you won't regret it.

This is a very common fault and a factory recall although as so much time as past Honda won't honor it anymore, I don't even replace it with a new one because the new one is also designed the same and will eventually fail in 10 or 20 years or less depending on how many times you turn that key, if you got in and out of your car 20 times a day it would happen 20 times faster than usual, also to note this will also put heat into the main relay the powers the fuel pump and everything's else, so depending on how much this car has been used since the key switch started arcing then that could need resoldering which is pretty easy to do, but anyway best way to fix the ignition switch is to take that contact pad out and then cut the black plastic a bit make a new contact that is slightly longer on the left so it doesn't sit on the edge anymore, i will make a video of it on my channel at some point
