The 80 deserves it's reputation as being a solid and well built tank of an air rifle, it'll just keep going and going and going...as long as you're arm can manage it 😂
Nice shot of the flying pellet. Must try it. I've done it with a 1p coin on my little hw 30. Check it out 👍 what in your opinion is the vest Weihrauch?
My problem is that after a period of time the spring jumps out of the plastic spring guide then the rifle shots pretty loud and there is no more accuracy. I need to unbuild everything for the second time und turn back the end of the spring on the seat of the plastic spring guide
My 99s doesn't do anything like that. It's smooth and crisp . Although I changed the internals to my own parts . Can sit a pellet on scope turret and don't move love the little rifle
Good point about finding the heavier pellet going faster.... Mine shoots faster the 177 Baracuda Match faster than lighter jsb pellets.. Has to do with the size softness of the skirt, in translation more efficient sealing of the barrel from the pellet. Great guns by the way...
I have never been one for loading up a rifle or pistol with lots of mods that due to experience i found that yes ! Air weapons sometimes do seem to maybe raise power etc. But the way that mods make a weapon work quicker which = internal components wearing quicker can render a weapon to breakdown far sooner than it's expected life. Hence repairs will probably cost far more than the original cost of the gun and all mods that were introduced into the mechanism. I have been a shooter since i was 10 yrs old, i'm now 82 and have used most gun disciplines. I'm also a qualified design engineer. I have written this text in hope it can be helpful in keeping your weapons in good shape, using the absolute minimum of mods.
On your next to last shot, you grazed the stick, on the right lower side. I enjoy your videos and the accuracy games you play. As far as break barrels, the HW35 is my favorite.
Watching this through the scope I couldn't see just how close the HW80 came to doing it as well. It's always a nice surprise seeing a tiny target get smashed
Great to see some free hand shooting skills instead of bean bags, bipods and trigger sticks. This makes a PCP shooting a challenge again. Thanks for your vid buddy 👍
What in your opinion is the best pcp? I'm looking for a new gun around Xmas time. The budget around £1200 really enjoyed going through your content. 👏👍
I've shot the same pellets, same gun and on different days and had different results?? That's the problem I think with some pellets is the predictable consistency. I think that the Superdomes and Magnums are the best of the Bisley lot
@keith6930 The Crosman 10.5 pellets do very well from my Bavaria 55. The heavier weight makes for a stable pellet. Great for posting, too. Here in the States, you can buy a full tin, for under $10.
I've got the 97 k with the synthetic thumb hole I find a 9 or 08 grain pellet about the best and get consistency on a 10 cent piece at 30 m should I expect any more. that's on a rest without my hand under the Fore grip. Your thoughts please im in aus and most of my hunting is with centre fires cheers for any tips . Ps using hawk air 3×9×40 thank you
Sounds about spot on, some rifles prefer to shoot a lighter pellet as it can cause less piston bounce compared to a heavier pellet. Downside with a lighter pellet is that it's affected by the wind a little more. The 3-9 mag range is good all rounder for the distance. I've got a few that go to 24 mag but rarely have it higher than 10 or 12
