Your video brings back lots of memories. My dad ran the PHA/SCCA SOLO 1 series from 1976-1987. Initially in a G production Triumph Spitfie and then a SSB Dodge Colt Turbo. Fondly remember watching Kerry Hitt thundering past the Rockwall at the fire tower at Duryea in his Trans AM series Corvette. I remember.some of the crashes at the jump at Weatherly.
Wow, some incredible shadetree engineering and I mean that in a good way. Love to try my diesel truck on this course just because I believe any vehicle I own needs to be able to corner and most of my stuff are trucks and vans. Unfortunately, a soccer mom t boned my BMW 540 6 speed V8 wagon on coil overs which I would have loved to do this course with.
Thanks for posting this. Ive never been but am going the Aug 17 climb. If you dont mind....how does spectating work. Are we able to just drive up the coarse and find a spot and park? Are we able to leave when the entire column of cars goes back down the hill for the next run? Thanks again and really looking forward to this!!
@danralston8942 you can't drive up the track and park. Theirs areas to park at the bottom of the hill by the street and you can give a donation to the people with the bus and they will take you up to turn 7
Is there a governing body for this? Most of the class letters on the cars look like they're autocross drivers. No Porsche? Good job but maybe use a tripod.
Great stuff, thanks. Im from Ireland, have done a fair bit of hillclimbing over the years and love seeing stuff from other countries. That hill looks very fast.
Thank you. i appreciate it. Im trying to make this something i can do for a while. Currently a hobby. I would love to travel all of the usa and record. Hopefully, one day
Sorry this was filmed on my iPhone7 in 2021. I have stepped up my camera with a samsung s21 ultra. Then now to a canon camera. If you would want to check out some of my newer videos
