I wouldn't go as far to say Rodney couldnt do it, bc there are a bunch of things Rodney has done that hasnt been caught on film or even filmed at all. So i think the more honest thing would he something Rodney has never documented. Either way, both Rodney and Andy are incredible skaters.
"COULDN'T DO" this would imply he actually TRIED to do it. There's no telling if he actually ever attempted it azzhole. Don't disrespect the Godfather of skateboarding.
I think the difference is that Rodney Mullen would pressure flip out of his dark slides but Andy Anderson picks the board up w/ his toes so he could probably do a Darkslide to kickflip to Darkslide.... Guaranteed he does it some time soon. 🛹🖤😁
I argue he is a father to so many of us. And we don't call him dad enough, he needs a reminder. A reminder that he fathered the fatherless and the ones rebelling against their own. He is a father, dad, and so much more to so many of us. His talks also feel like an awesome talk with dad. And daddy left quite a legacy of what is possible. Is so many things in life.
That's to not even a 5 0 ! Nothing special about this as the angle and the board coming out made this not that special at all. No way near what Rodney was talking about
Whatever happened to watching a skate video Just to get pumped up to go skating. Nowadays are everybody's dissecting it and pulling it apart. Which is cool, but I mean come on let's go skate guys
im pretty sure the mexican "darkslide master" did a darkslide to crooks/smith/something. cant remember the video but its this guy that travels the world to meet cool unique skaters. give a watch. i loved it. n Yes Rodney is my favourite all time skater! hes got my back "tattoed" his face from tedtalk and added the silluettes from a trick he does down a ledge. so it looks like hes flippin down from his head and lands on his name xD best tattoo ever made :D
Even trying to compare the blue helmet special kid to the goat Rodney 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Rodney paved the way an changed skateboarding forever.. Andy does circus tricks 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Funny thing is that andy talks about how he learned darkslides from that Rodney how too video but learned the scoop out from a friend that wanted to learn em but was doing them wrong. Crazy.
Andy Anderson is a joke next to what Mullen did... he's just a weird kid who skates well and attracts attention. an ugly style and nothing that hasn't been seen in skateboarding before.
Andy’s trick is barely a make, Mullen would never have put that in a video. There is no good comparison between their skill levels - Andy’s good, but not in the same league as Rodney w/number of tricks, control, switch stance, or style.
Just stating facts. Never said he wasn’t good, just not Rodney level. How many contests has Andy won? Not to mention he’s a poor sportsman, kinda like Mike V, that can’t hang with modern street tricks.
I LOVE that you caught that. Despite multiple viewings of Andy's part, I didn't catch that nor did I connect the dots to Rodney's 2004 video (WAY too many years since I watched it - lol). Obviously I saw Andy do the trick, but the significance of it went right over my head so I appreciate you doing this video. Thanks, all the best!
the natas spin on the top of the handrail to nosegrind now was the TOTY with a close second to the guy that railslide UP the 13 stair rail. love you Speeds- Monk <---
I doubt either are at all autistic. People anymore take anyone whos creative and breaks new ground in their industry(or just quirky in any way) and they believe that makes them autisitc.
You could even say that he doesn't grind it at all , and I wouldn't argue . Not taking anything away from Andy's skill . He is absolutely a badass . Just calling it like I see it 🤘
