De Marinierskapel is een professionele, veelzijdige muzikale eenheid die (inter)nationaal bij ceremoniële of civiele gelegenheden optredens verzorgt voor het Koninklijk Huis, de Koninklijke Marine of Defensie in het algemeen. Ze is bekend van de radio- en tv-optredens en plaat- en cd-opnamen, waarmee vaak een hoge standaard en voorbeeld voor anderen wordt neergezet. I was in awe and moved with this masterpiece! I’m no musician at all, I just like music overall and my mind was so blown away and puzzled how did they come up or compose with such a music piece like this? If I were the composer I’d be so proud especially if it’s dedicated to war heroes! THIS MUSIC SO GLORIOUS!
Listening to this music makes me cry a lot and I feel a lot of pain, I don't know why it happens, and its voice directly touches the heart, it feels like I have a lot to say, I don't know what, but I have to say it. 😭😭😭

Every time I hear that song. I think of my mom's brother, who was on Guadalcanel during WWII, as a Marine. It brings me joy and sadness at the same time knowing what was given in blood, sweat, and tears to take that island. Thank You, for that beautiful song 🎵 ❤️
I had a great uncle who told me one day he was in a unit that landed on Omaha beach. As they boarded the landing craft all his sergeant said was“OK boys this is it.” He made it back home in one piece but was serious alcoholic for the rest of his life.
I still look for the ship and men that got him home. The man that looked after him on the ship. Santee was a pilot. Named bagoulee. But no records of this ship.but it was a ship that took our troops. From Keelung. To freedom 3:31
I listen to this daily, all I envision is my uncle Lenny in the ardens forest and the campaign thru Europe in 1944,he sent a letter home at Christmas told everyone not to worry, he came home hung his uniform up and never said a word about anything. Years later we finally found out about were he was. Figure that, The Greatest generation is a proper and fitting title. God Bless those guys and our Brave veterans of today. Your Countrymen thank you.
