I can't believe how much you used 1st gear!!! Usually that's all but impossible to downshift into at speed. It's also a whole lot taller than the stock 1st gear, and actually useful!
My guy here is a good driver but he really needs to smooth out his steering inputs. Corrections = lack of control. Drive in such a way that you know what the car is going to do so you dont have to always correct, smooth is fast :D Shit, what do I know tho.... I would be 2x as scared in that old 914! I wonder if theres anything you could do to the setup to make it smoother? Smaller rear ARB and larger front ARB? Then brake balance more rearward? that turn from the new circuit to the old ring, and the turn after it (2:02) showed the issues with the setup!
Im thinking it IS sliding around alot and hes got a really slow turning ratio steering gear in it which requires a lot of input. That said you cant call that steering twitchy!
@@dr.jamesolack8504 well somethings going on here. Guy is working way too hard. Doubt its intentional, maybe its the best they can do with what its equipped with, is that your point?
@@johnlucier5654 a 914 is a mid engine car which in general is a good starting point. I have delivered high horsepower 911's and 914's and 914's are way easier to setup
I will always love seeing 914s, especially 914 Track Cars overtaking all competitors I’ve had a ‘75 2.0L since ‘93 as a 15yr old. she’s covered & has been living in me Ma’s horse stable for 20+ years with new paint. I can start & drive it anytime, but it needs some balls. I have a semi-fresh 2.8L & a 3.2L short block that need to find their way in. she deserves to park proudly with my old & newer Carreras.
The same car us featured on Robert Alblas; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZWVTnQ00Q8A.htmlsi=esOyKaki42oNNmLP Which is a different driver based on a different racing suit.🙂
The rear seems a bit loose? Will certainly impact driver endurance around that track. Too much fighting the car. Still , it’s cool to watch a 914/6 GT being manhandled
Ihr 40 min. Video mit dem 914 ist das beste Onboard Video was ich je gesehen habe. Weltklasse. Perfekt. Besser geht es nicht. Hier wackelt es etwas zu viel.
