Got one last November put it on my ageing D3 its not come off yet after 500 test shots no problems at all, a brand new lens for £99 its a steal........be careful though its not water proof!
Ok, it's a cheap lens with a very basic optical design. Some soft focus and aberration issues are expectable. That is why there are similar lenses 3-5 times more expensive. Anyway i think it is infinitely better than a kit lens
I'm just wondering how this is macro? I see a lot of people saying that a lens is for macro or can be used for macro, but the shots aren't close up. Like being able to get close to the inside of a flower and have that be in focus or to be close up and see all of the details of a bee's face/head. That's what macro photography is. I can easily get this kind of close up shot with a Sony 16-50mm lens that is in no way rated as a macro lens of any kind. These are nice pictures and videos that people take with these lenses that they say are macro, but only do as close as up without getting blurry as a 16-50mm lens. If these lenses can get super close like being close enough to clearly get stuff like stated in focus, then why not have the videos and or photos be that close up? That's why it looks like from the footage given (for not just this particular lens) for these lenses, they're not a macro lens if they can't get any closer than what a 16-50mm lens can get. Now a macro lens that gets super close up to seeing details like I stated can also be used as a regular lens (like for getting a tree without having to be several feet away), but no regular lens can also be a macro lens. The lens has to be a 1:1 or 1x magnification, 2:1, 2:2 or 2x magnification at least to be a macro lens and it still can be used as a regular lens. Any higher times magnification makes it not able to also be used as a regular lens since the user would have to be so far away to capture something like a person or a tree.
Yes, this is not a real macro. But you can’t call it a landscape either) There is a suitable term in my native language, but it does not translate into English
@@PantleyLensTest It's still a really nice picture that it takes. At least that wasn't edited (a lot of people do that for their reviews of a camera, lens, for videos, and pictures) so we can see what the stuff actually looks like.
The lens is quite good, especially considering the price and size, but as befits the Eastern Bloc, something had to be screwed up. For example, the shutter gets stuck when opening, the teeth overlap, break and cannot be closed again. What a beautiful thing.
HELP! Newbie question :) I have a Canon EOS 6D and need to film myself on camera. What are the settings to ensure I'm always in focus while filming since it doesn't have face tracking or a flip screen. Do I need to get any specifc gear or app to set this up? Thanks!
