I was in Cinncinnati for a UFC ppv a few years back and saw Wand standing infront of a bar we were going to. Asked him to take a pic he smiled and threw his arm around me for a pic then after the pic he shook my hand and bowed to me and thanked me for asking him to take a pic. I was absolutely amazed at how nice he was. He is truly a fantastic guy.
Once i met him at the airport, i was using a PRIDE t-shirt and i asked him for a autograph... Wanderlei ended walking with me to the exit of the airport telling me about his fights in PRIDE..just like that, very natural and kind.
ya what a day just found out Wandy thinks of me as a friend!!!!!!!!this dude is cool, one day we will have a stare down.......and I will likely piss my pants lol
If you were watching MMA before the reality show, when the UFC did not have the best fighters, and when f'n soccer kicks to a downed opponent were legal, you've got to have the upmost respect for Wanderlei Silva. He never in his life tried to eke out a decision. He always came to end fights as quickly and brutally as possible. Outside the ring/cage he's class personified. Wand always gave a fuck about his fans. The word legend gets thrown around way to often today but Wand is a true legend.
