I'm literally playing rn and the Frink car race in level 4 is absolutely brutal. His car chews up memory so there's horrible fps issues and he's just way faster 😭
I don't like every track you put on the list, but all in all, two things: 1. You have big respect from me for Legitimate business and Halloween on the first 2 places 2. I have a huge reproach for not being Harbor Hustle (Lisa's theme track) there 🎶
so much yapping, volume all the way down, this could easily be turned into a short but u insist on stuttering and yapping instead of just getting to the point.
It was apu's stage... its the one where you need to destroy the armored truck... I played that stage enough to know that the car I was given was not strong enough to destroy it without defeating itself. Needed several wrenches at low car health to make it... i lapped the stage like 10 times hitting the aromored truck into walls into other vehicles... into buildings getting the wrench and then going down the highway again and again and again... till the darn thing exploded...
I know this video is 6 yrs old but anyway. Last week I decided to 100% this game! Gladly I was already on level 6 on my physical copy of Hit & Run on my Xbox. The mission to do was... ofc.. Set 2 Kill! It was horrible. Multiple hours, multiple attempts for nothing. After a LONG time I got close and crashed with the last possible car only to time out, right before Krusty. Next try, got really close again but time was already low so, I ran out, inches away from the checkpoint at Krusty... truly the most horrible mission in the game. Alien Autopsy 3 is the most hate I had for any game in recent years. WHY on god is the police activated during missions.. the car.. the way to easily exploding automic waste... the police.. the short amount of time.. everything sucks. The worst part about completing 100% are the wasps cameras. I truly hate them. The biggest problem was that I played on an old save file so I had no idea which cameras I already destroyed and which I still have to kill. Oh yeah.. and the Gags.. to 100% the gags was tedious as well. I LOVE just HOW MUCH stuff they put into this game. It's kinda annoying but all in all a truly good game to 100% it. After collecting all Cards, destroying all Cameras and finishing all missions I looked at the statistics in the main menu and... 99%, HUH? HOW? oh yeah, the main menu shows you movies to watch 6/7. wait what? yep! Level 3 doesn't have an end cutscene. You get a bonus movie after collecting ALL cards in all levels, THEN you have to speak to the comicbook guy in level 3 (did it in 6 but nothing), THEN search for the theather in level 3 and you'll get an exclusive Itchy & Scratchy Episode. What an ending! Without competition the best game I had back when I was a kid and it still holds up today. 10/10
Personally i found most of them easy execpt the ones i never played (i just started level 5) I now completed the game and all is easy execpt Set to kill
How is the Level 4 Time Trial not on this list? It drove me nuts! Even with the cheats on and using a car horn jump trick to get a headstart during the countdown, it was very hard to win. I had to use the Open Wheel Race Car from Level 7 as it was the only car fast enough to complete a single lap in under 30 seconds
You do know there was an episode where Bart actually gets a driver’s license, not Bart on the Road, but the episode where Bart ends up dating a pregnant girl
Alongside "Halls Balls", I really like the song for "Never Trust a Snake" because of the low note backing guitar (I don't know my terminology) setting that serious tone versus the other similar rock songs. It's similar to how I like piano pieces backed by low, rhythmic notes. 15. "Vox Nerduli" is meant to be a shoutout to the fight music of Star Trek TOS 12. Another shoutout piece to Tom Jones' "It's Not Unusual"
Fun fact about big blind brother there was a segment of the song that was cut it was supposed to play when the timer was on 10 seconds and hearing it feels like it adds intensity to it like you’re sneaking around and you get caught by a guard and you have to hid quick
Here’s a troll: the first portion of “never trust a snake” If the garbage truck makes too many mistakes you might as well just restart the mission since that time limit is way too tight to afford even with the speedrun route
I literally had to go on RU-vid and find The Planet Hype 50's Car years ago, I initially and Genuinely believed Level 6 didn't have a Bonus Car, that's why it's the best Bonus Car it's well Hidden and easily missable, plus it's Hans Moleman's Car (if u watch The Simpsons episode where Lisa babysits Bart and Maggie and Lisa pushes Bart down the Stairs and Freaks out that she's killed him), it's similar to Warden Quincy Sharp's Secret Room in Batman: Arkham Asylum (that teased Batman: Arkham City) My Ranking of The Bonus Cars:. 7. The Monorail (Level 2): it was shit as slow and belonged in a scrapyard, i would have put either The 1966 Adam West Batman Batmobile or Bonnie & Clyde's Bullet riddled Car as Level 2's Bonus Car instead of a Damaged Train (🙄) 6. ATV (Level 4): Wild to drive in but The Handling was Terrible (i bet Jimbo, Dolph, Kearney and Nelson would love ATVs) 5. Rocket Car (Level 1): Very Nostalgic, Very Infamous (one of the most infamous cars of this game), Beyond as Fast but Sadly it was Fragile and Vulnerable 4. Knight Boat (Level 4): Decent Car, Nothing else to say 3. RC Buggy (Level 7): putting a RC Buggy in a Halloween Mission is very Interesting, i think it would have been funny if Homer actually sat on it instead of Shrinking 😂😂😂😂 2. The Obliteration Monster Truck (Level 5): Awesome Car, No Complaints at all 1. Hans Moleman's Pink Cadillac AKA The Planet Hype 50's Car (Level 6) This Car should be a Legend within The Simpsons Hit and Run we all initially and Genuinely believed Level 6 didn't have a Bonus Car, we all thought The Car was Part of The Planet Hype. That's why it's the best Bonus Car it's so well Hidden and easily missable
When I first played Set To Kill I wonder why everyone hated this mission Then I found out why Gosh I remember banging my desk hard after so many tries Than I found that if you go the phonebooth and select the mission’s vehicle then you can select for example the ferrini and the mission will continue as intend but this time you won’t have to deal with that trash villain car Also another note when heading back to Krusty Lu Studios you can skip the boat section and save a couple seconds by jumping the ramp and as soon you land inside the boat you can respawn and it will spawn you on the road leading up to the Duff Brewery
3:15 another great thing about this track and all Marge tunes id that they take inspiration from Tom Jones who is canonically Marge's idol, the writers really went in and did thwir homework and composed a fantastically produced soundtrack. Great vid.
set to kill is way harder because the structure is so messed up you got to drive to squidport so you can't avoid a hit and run because you have to drive fast and there's a lot of people that you clearly cannot avoid also , the time you have to get back the krusty loo is just too short a the trafic in level 6 is hard to avoid
For me the most annoying mission was driving from the observatory to the duff factory to then try to destroy a van, id always get the police on me or my car would explode
2 fun things you can do in Hit and Run. You can only do this on the first level. Get the rocket car. Not Barts but the level secret vehicle. Input the immortal vehicle cheat and the car jump when pressing the horn. Get to on top of the gas station. Pull back as far as possible without falling off and line up perfectly straight. Then input super fast vehicle cheat. The blast off and when flying off honk horn and you will land on the moon. Drive really fast on the moon and hit the 1 bunk on the moon and do the horn again and land on the sun. You can drive all across the entire sun its a solid surface. I weirded a friend out. So turns out the sun may have been parts to a potential 8th or 9th mission. A space mission along with the moon being a space mission as well hens you can actually drive on the moon but only a little bit but the sun is literally a ball you can drive on without any issues. Honking the horn jump on the sun does not get you off the sun. You are trapped on the sun but saving and reloaded lands you back on the regular map you can not save and re enter the sun or the moon unless using the cheats set up. To get to the sun you have to perfectly do the jump from the moon. The Sun may have been used as a driving test to see how vehicles function on it. You can even drive destroyed vehicles on it or anything if you can get them to have the same speed but I doubt you can do it with anything other than rocket car. The ground on the sun has no friction and even at a full stop your car starts moving on its own and getting out is dangerous because the planet is a sphere so you get run over by your own car without you in it.
The racer is one of the worst vehicles in the game, the maps are way too small to get to anywhere near top speed and it gets worse as the frame rate drops, the glitchy physics don’t help.
We have the same preferences - Lisa's ride was always my personal favorite growing up. It was speedy and handled well. I love the design of the car - its aesthetic fits the coastal theme of Level 3. This game is a gem 💎
