I bought the box when it was released, i considered getting a second one, but they were gone by then (like a month later). The content of the box never made me completely happy, i think it is the same feeling you have having, everything in the box seems to have it's purpose, but at the same time it just seems to be lacking something. Of the units in the box i might have picked a unit of Velitaris over the Sentinel. What i think are the models that we are really missing - Special weapons (which is by far my #1), Rapier gun teams and further down the list Carnodon Battle Tanks and Auros Transports. While i know, why we cant keep every product, I'm not on the fan of the fomo style Battlegroups GW is doing over the later years - with exception of the starter sets.
Nice review! Great to get a good look at the sculpts, I’m tempted to get some to use as Brood Brothers with head swaps, as the industrial look works well with the aesthetics of the Cults
I really lurve these new figures, even if they are a bit fiddly to build. All those extra weapons and stuff for my bits box for future kit bashing 😊😊😊😊😊
Hello Supersaiyan, ive been watching ever since u been doing your bike reviews, like 10 years ago?You could say u are the origanal gangster of youtube, Hope u doing fine n make more videos.Cheers!
For the price you could by 2 Sicaran Battle Tanks and 2 oval bases and still have money spare, just don't glue on tye sponsor weapons and it is more or less the same haha
The giant laser cannon on top is an incredibly stupid idea. The lasers on the attack wings are slightly less stupid. I'm talking from an engineering/science view point. Like never go full ret@rd levels of stupidity. I would throw the model back at the person who handed it to me as hard as I can and yell, "That most airtime and damage that design will ever do!" The plane would have to dive bomb a target for extended periods to use the laser cannon so it would have time for the heat of the laser to do damage. Since it's a bigger plane, it'd have a harder time pulling up from the dive bomb. Its size again making it less agile would make the laser completely useless against smaller aircraft that are more agile and can avoid the lasers. If the big and small lasers were on some type of turret, then they could work because they could more easily fix on a target for longer periods of time. The only plane right now that should use lasers in our world is the "Son of Blackbird", Lockheed Martin SR-72 (the replacement to the 60 year old Lockheed Martin SR-71 "Blackbird"). It can reach Mach 6, so fast that it could/might run into bullets and missiles it fires. Can't fly into a laser beam it's shooting. Not even going into the fact no plane would have lift because the British may have ruled the waves, but have no clue how to rule the skies. Being unfamiliar with airfoil causing lift.
15:00 Everything you say makes no military/engineering/scientific sense. The super laser cannon would be idiotic against a Land Raider, to escape, it would just have to not drive in a straight line. The plane aims lasers by adjusting its flight direction, it's a bigger plane so it's not going to be nimble enough to keep the lasers locked on a moving target.
I dont know if its me thinking or hoping. But there will probably be one more release of mechanicus before they go back to space marines. I think there where a 2 month gap in the releas of solar auxiliary, and as they dont seem to release any more 40 k this year, there might be a mechanicus release in October. I would like the floating drone thingy because o could use them for necromania. the knights would also be nice.
Awesome book, bought a copy. There will apparently be a Legions Imperialis supplement on the Mechanicum as well, with the Mechanicum models for LE revealed this week.
Bought the battlegroup and I dont even play Horus Heresy. The models were just too cool to pass up. Looking forward to the full on plastic release, some of the coolest model GW / FW ever produced.
@@Starburst7641 they are, as much as I love the skitarii the 30k vehicles are on another level. Dunecrawler is amazing but the Karacnos and Krios as just crazy future tech cool.
Honestly I'd much rather have rules for characters that lack models than a line-wide policy of no rules for anything without models. Likewise I'd rather have a magos figure with a loadout insufficient to cover his legal options rather than a line-wide policy of restricting the rules options for what weapons magi can take to what's on the sprue.
Well there was an announcement for the epic game of the mechcanicum force which had a lot of the model in tiny plastic so it shouldn’t be to hard to scale them up. Got the battle group there myself and the thallax value alone vs the resin kit is great. I just need the Vorax in plastic, I want my fast attack bugs.
