Welcome to my channel. I post videos where I unbox new vinyl releases and reissues. I also discuss live records and albums I consider lost classics. There are also some random concert videos as well as some Mediocre disc golf coverage.
A MASTERPIECE from HEAVY ROCK!!! one of my favorites albums of all time (and i still have it on cd) Plus this fantastic album has the MOST BEAUTIFUL COVER OF ALL TIME!
It would be nice to get a Poison greatest hits or best of on vinyl something of quality that spans there peak years or their entire catalog. Vinyl box ? Etc...
About bar codes, I remember that the first time I saw one on a record album was in the fall of 1979 (I was a teenager at the time, so I remember details like that). MAD Magazine started having bar codes on their covers around 1976 or 77, and they made some joke captions that commented on the bar code. I was kind of bummed out to see that albums now had bar codes. Now, expect bar codes to be on everything. I was never actually a UFO fan, but I've listened to this live album many times, and I like it a lot.
You say remastered? Have a look at description. Does it say remastered? Guess not. I say John's solo music has always been of great quality it actually does not need a remaster. But please check that out as nowhere it says remastered imo.
Cool boxset. My friend. But I have to say I’m more of an Ozzy&Dio years not so much Tony Martin! Nothing against him. I’m just saying!! Stay frosty my friend 🤘🏼🤘🏼… long live rock ‘n’ roll!!
2LP set is the best choice acording to me. 1LP is the weakest one, even when it has their 10 most famous, but it isn't enough for a band that had a 50 year old carrer, 20 songs seems perfect enough
My favorite Aerosmith album. After years, I finally found the poster that they were selling on the sleeve. It sits proudly on my wall. I've looked for a backup and haven't had any luck.
I never understand why they didnt do a record with Jack Puig when they left Pakiderm productions. Wake Up Call was awkward & felt contrived. Puig would have challenged them in different ways than John & Dino did. Wouldve been a good match. I will never understand hooking up with Brown Bannister after Unseen Power. That's just weird man.
@@lukasjacobi627 Ya when I was a kid & that record came out I had friends that liked that record. It bored me. I haven't listened to that record since.
@@lukasjacobi627 I liked the Doors/Stones/Free vibes but the problem is you can't pull that off unless you can pull off the attitude that sells that vibe. I think some of these songs were throw aways from BB & UP. I think Bob needed to approach writing differently for a record like that. Just Reach Out was the closest he got which is why it was the big single. I wouldve wanted to take the band to a rehearsal space & spend a year or so hashing out these tracks before recording. If youre going to switch gears like this you've got to make it something extraordinarily special. Bob is a good writer. He could've done it. Just needed some room to breathe. They didn't take enough time coming off UP.
@@lukasjacobi627 I was going to point out that the attitude on Unseen Power would've sold Wake Up Call. That record had a lot of attitude & it worked. I think it made some people uncomfortable which is good. They needed to lean into that attitude just a skoach on WUC. Bannister isn't a producer known for 'attitude.'
One thing is clear: The high prices at Girder NEED absolute more focus on perfect quality. Even in fully insured and double boxed shipping I mostly have issues with discussions on what a customer I am to ask for refund. 🤣🤣 So they make you feel like it is your fault. Bumped edges are called minor issue. Sometimes it feels a bit like a narcissistic customer treatment after having payed to me but that is my opinion of it. One day they will see this. Girder ... 40 USD for a vinyl NEEDS EVERY LITTLE EDGE PERFECT TO MAKE THIS CLEAR. I feel the service MUST BE IMPROOVED TO 100%.
Ya I don't like dealing with Girder. Just always seems like Im dealing with a guy that is half shady. I didn't get around to ordering the NOTW vinyl & they ran out. I emailed a few times & Asked 'Are ya repressing these?' Never got a response. My guess is that he sold all the test pressings for NOTW & he can't repress it because he sold all of them which is really, really bad business. I could be wrong. But thats my gut feeling.
Yes and prices vary a lot. Saw it for almost 70 USD or so. I would keep on writing him. See as being from Germany there are added taxes and duties are added and one time even was charged again even so I already paid with "included" taxes and had to deal with customes offive. I finally got it back. Was not my fault. Keep on telling them. They need to know. @thetruthchannel349
I recieved records from Girder where even the inner sleeve was bigger than the record-sleeve outside. Somehow the quality to me seems only middle-based, more 20 USD than 40 USD. But well ...
Unfortunately I can not get those so called "Hype-Stickers" away from the sealed foil. Also, inner sleeves are damaged inside and record has bumped edges outside inspite of double boxing delivery. Not that nice but well in exchange it costs a lot of money. 😅 Also delivery international plus taxes and duties gets horrible. But crazy rockers are used to crazyness. Great to have WUC on Vinyl. Beyond Belief already was pressed in Europe on Vinyl since about 1990 and Unseen Power only available in Brazil in crazy conditions and 100-200USD. 🤣 Unseen Power Artwork was WAY nicer at Brazil pressing (backside). WAC could also have been made nice on the backside. Also a yellow instead blue record is artwork-top-crazyness. Beyond Belief is sweet. So nice to also have those three anyway.
Awesome video man I might need to grab myself one And yeah that album is great every song on it is good It’s sad it’s not as popular as other punk rock bands albums It’s better then alot of other albums from other bands My favorite song on it was My mom still cleans my room But today is in my way was a close second What about yours?
Wondering about all those bumped corners. I got it double packaged and still got 2 from 3 bumped corners. Wonder if they are sent out already bumped as that happens much too often all the time. Should be better cared of while the process until delivery.
@@lukasjacobi627 Always depends on what you're listening on. The Unseen Power remaster does sound pretty good. It has the sonic signature of the environment it was mastered in which is different than the digital environment of the early 90s.
Bob Ludwig is one of the best all time mastering engineers & he is very flexible on his rates. They could've probably gotten him to do it for what they paid to have these done.
@@thetruthchannel349 you mean more money brings better remaster? I'd say the money lays in records that cists up to 70 USD, yes? Arriving with bumped edges and inner jackets/sleeves. A record for 40-70 USD must offer the very best possible remaster quality. Otherwise it is an immoral non-christian marketing trick that even does not happen at secular places.
I'm not a huge fan of John's solo music but like some of his songs. I won't likely get this. I'm more of a fan of UOSAS and Petra and bought all those reissues and have all the other Petra originals. I've been a fan of Petra since 1985. Thanks for showing the details! As usual Greg does a good job along with Scott Waters and Rob Colwell.
Think there is no Rob C. in it. Does not necessarily need remaster. Why should great music always get a remaster. It is a History Box with Best Of Music. It's always been of best audio quality.
