could someone explain how that transmission works as compared to hydro units. Does the trans shift automatically as you increase speed lever or does operator need to shift it all the time? I like simple and a trans does not sound simple or robust.
I read this article just last month, where this engineer that worked for formula 1 for many years , he did a study on oil and performance, checked the oil and took a sample, pit it under a microscope and came to the conclusion that the color of the oil never changed the performance of the vehicle as long as you change the filter. Long story short, changing the oil is just as necessary needing fluoride on your water . But I still change mine. It was just an interesting article. Makes you wonder .
Best ultra high lift blades I've ever used are from Ballard. Made my old sentar with no striping kit stripe again. Oregon fusion blades also leave a very nice cut. I think they are just high lift but seem to hold an edge much better.30 or 35 degree angle works best.
Nice back yard. No plants and a view of a warehouse parking lot. Clean cuts should be the least of your worries in terms of making your yard somewhat presentable.
Hey Andy, I have the same issue that you do with the enclosed trailer and the heat making it hard for the trimmer to start. Next time you have that problem take your blower and blow on the engine of the trimmer for about 10 seconds before you start it and see if it cools it down enough to start easier. I have a similar issue with mine where it will start no problem but then it doesn’t want to run because it’s vapor locking because the fuel is boiling. Took the blower to it today and she took right off.
Just picked up a first gen V ride. What put it down at 1500 hours is the hydro belt broke and took out the wires for the PTO. Thinking about making a protector/guide to stop it from happening again. I also feel a flat spot in the bearing race for the PTO. So it was coming.
If I had multiple choices I would not, not because they’re bad mowers they’re actually great mowers, I’m just not brand specific and like to try new things
When your trimmer will not crank try opening the gas cap to release pressure. My 94r runs flawless with non ethanol. I do have to choke it on hot days lol.
I have a 2010 V Ride. why do we keep working on these? The V ride II is out. I have a Tiger cub that is a 1997 I think. Freedom Z 2010. They just keep going and going.
