To be honest, this show got away with a LOT of sexual innuendos. It makes sense, since the protagonists are at the age where that sort of discovery is normal. However, it also makes sense that so many parents (including mine) hated this show. Great work on the video!
The only time Eddy felt comfortable, not nervous and confident flirting with Nazz was when ~conveniently~ it actually wasn't Nazz, but Double D. This isn't a coincidence, we know what you are Eddy
I mean, there was that one other time where he was "singing" to who he thought was Nazz, but was actually Jimmy. And he seemed pretty confident there. So it has happened more than once.
Or maybe he just thought he had a better chance because he had a suit on. Seems likely, since he's talked confidently to Nazz before when he had shades on in Sir Ed A Lot, or when he "became taller" in A Pinch To Grow An Ed. Bro needs to look extra to flirt confidently lol
@@itspk3691 oh, I don't think he was confident, at least not completely. The moment "Nazz" was approaching he started to kinda freak out together with Double D. I think he was trying to be confident but wasn't really. Seems like when the situation becomes too real he gets scared

But I think he seems more confident when it's about competing with others over her (especially Kevin) because he seems to see her pretty much as a prize since she's the hot popular girl that everyone wants, so I think his interest in winning her is focused on this. I think he sees her as something that will give him status, that will make him popular and "the best", that will reaffirm his value and validate him as a hot guy too, that will make his biggest enemy jealous, and that will prove to everyone that "he's straight". It makes total sense for him to want her so bad, but I think his reasons are different from being genuinely interested and attracted to her, and more about what being with her will provide him, the benefits he'd gain from this, since we know how much Eddy values social status

thought the same thing. I have a feeling that the writer always wanted Chihaya and Arata to end up together. Otherwise why would she place Chihaya and Arata in Tokyo and send Taichi away in Kyoto? Also, Arata clearly says he's not giving up. He prefers being with her at 28 rather than 18.
@@itscrystalclear17 i agree. the fact both guys confessed to her but she only had a positive response to arata proves it. there are times when she thinks of romance (when her classmates ask if she has a crush, poems that she interprets as romantic) and then immediately thinks of arata. the lack of closure also proves it, she never responded to his confession and in the last chapter they dont have a meaningful interaction. i felt like the writer distanced from their relationship since she spent majority of pages on showing us chihaya's feelings towards taichi, to the point where her becoming queen was overshadowed.
It happened to me... I hate how Taichi fans are commenting everywhere that "they won." But don't let people ruin your experience. I mean, chihayafuru's main plot isn't romance, but karuta. So, if you enjoyed watching Mizusawa's team, Chihaya, Arata, and Taichi, fight to achieve their goals, you should continue watching and reading it. Because even though the romantic ending was forced and stupid (I laughed so hard reading the manga), the ending of the whole story is satisfying and beautiful. I mean, the whole work is amazing. So I just like to pretend that Chihaya "confessed" to Taichi because she was confused (and stupid), and because they were in a long-distance relationship, they broke up. Then, because Arata was always with Chihaya, she figured out she was, in fact, in love with Arata, and they ended up together. Happy ending :) But if you just want to watch romance, that's fine too.
