They're playing it too close to the studio version. I think we're all so used to the faster and more swinging Live Without a Net version. Joe shredding pentatonic licks during the solo doesn't fit as well either because EVH was a little more Holdsworth than usual on that one, and especially on LWAN.
He was 95% on all night - Michael took the highest of harmonies along with Rai - but Sammy hasn't lost much at all (and who expected him to still be singing these songs some 30, 40, 50 years later!)

No one is talking about how good Jason Bonham sounds? He is, as close to AVH as it comes, Alex was obsessed with Bonzo's Snare sound, Jason knows it like the back-of-his-hand.
