@___roglo___6016 Yes, sometimes I make mistakes, sorry. At Fiesta, I don't have a day sheet in front of me, and when there's 60-80 ropers and I can't hear them, they announce all the time I make mistakes. I know a lot of teams and names, but even with my impeccable memory I make mistakes.
I got my 2011 F150 SCREW 3.5 Ecoboost FX4 in June 2011 (same trim as you, it looks like, graphite accents). I still have it - 84,000 km (52,000 miles). I use it to tow RVs and boats basically. The only repairs I have done in 13 years are one Bosch shock absorber that leaked oil on my driveway, vacuum pump for brakes, and I replaced the upper blend door actuator for the climate control ($60 for the part). A heat shield started rattling but I dont count that as a repair because I put put fence wire around it. I live in Northern Ontario where winter temps get down to -40f. Side question - How in the actual f**k do you get 400,000 miles (643,000kilometres) on a truck in nine years? Do you just drive around constantly.
I replaced the factory upper blend door back in 2019. Since then, I've changed it out 5 or 6 times. As for all the miles....it does feel like I do nothing but drive. A lot of those 400k were work related, and I go to a lot of rodeos all year. Now for the sad news. Early in August, it went from building compression to no compression. The timing belt isn't so loose to make a slapping noise, and it didn't break or you would definitely hear it. No alarms or wrench codes went off either. They figure the timing chain adjusters finally went out enough to allow the chain to slip. So by the time they take off the front end and replace the chain and adjusters and then take off the heads to check valve and rods, it would just be easier and cheaper to put in a brand new engine....which comes with a 3yr unlimited mileage warranty. The truck is still like new inside, and a new engine is cheaper than a new truck. It had just a lil over 544k in miles on it. Still the factory tranny and no major work on it. They are also putting the factory turbos on the new engine cause there is nothing wrong with them. I did outdrive the factory stereo June of last year, so I'm going to put a new one in.
I believe the Ropers name was Seth Hardy 5th out He was riding a buckskin with a red main and four white socks. that horse worked perfectly steer started to get up. He was hanging off the side, but he got that horse to pull again and pull a steer down. Excellent run excellent horse as far as I could see. Fourth run on the white horse was excellent too
My wife and I were there Wed. It rained so much the ground was extremely slick. Even the slightest direction change by the cattle is very difficult for the horses to track when the grass is that slick.
@@jeragsdale32 because they knee they wouldn't win money or place. They probably had a No/Time on their 1st steer and knew they would be too long on their 2nd steer and out of the money.
I bought a 2013 fx4 tuxedo black f150 i had 205,000 something on the motor. Never had one problem with it besides a misfire in cylinder 4 bad spark plug gap when i gave it a tune up. A guy pulled out infront of me on a 55mph highway out of his driveway i hit him and totaled it. I loved the truck and was gonna keep it forever it was the first ford i ever drove on pavement. Im from mt.morris Michigan its 3 miles from flint mi. Genesee county until early 2000 was gm capital not Detroit. But if you drove a ford people would ride with you or let you park in the driveway a whole list of things. I had a 2010 chevy Silverado but it had a afm motor it was rebuilt 3 time in 2 yrs i got rid of it and swore to this day ill never own a gm truck again. Thst ford meant a lot to me because i finally realized ford didnt stand for Found On The Road Dead, Found On The Road Driving is whst it meant to me. I was able to take the heated bumper and tail gate function of the truck cause i was never forced to have to push it home in the winter. 😂😂😂. But great video i hope you get 100,000,000 miles on your 2011. Also i replaced the 2013 with a 2020 sport f150 its not as nice anyway shape or form as my 2013. I dont feel like my 2020 will go to 200,000 before i have to get rid of it. But one thing before i sent the comment im using diesel oil in my truck and 89 or higher and i feel like my turbos finally broke in. I was told by the service guy when i bought my 2013 the turbos dont break in until 30,000 to 60,000 i have 82,000 on my 2020 did you have any expirience with break in period. My 2013 ran like a rapped ape after like 32,000 i literally noticed one day pulling my 22ft trailer with my massey Ferguson industrial 30 with a 7ft brushhog maybe it just me. Great video
As much money as the rodeo makes, they for sure need to hire professionals for the back & dealing with the contestants. The payout of the winner of the steer wrestling hasn't changed much in 40 years. I, along with many others, want to know where all the money is going?
@Emerald-city24 have to see if I can offer a slow motion option. I could record them in slow motion? Believe it or not...all these videos are shot using my phone.
Like all rodeo events the contractors choose the cattle very carefully for size and condition. It’s extremely rare for one to get injured even more rare to snap a neck. These steers are expensive and well cared for
@jerrythomas7763 yes sir, I agree. Use to do a lot of team ropin when I wad younger and still love watching it. However, trippin is topping the list of ropin to watch. It's as traditional a ranch/rodeo event as saddle bronc riding is.
Thank you for sharing.. just wondering how many timing chains have you had to put in it ? Asking because I just got one with 300,000 the timing chain has never been done. Look forward for your response
Light has been on for like 300k, and there is nothing wrong. My mechanic is a Rockstar and has had it off, and then it goes right back on, but everything checks out fine. I tell myself if it ever goes out....bail! Lol! Just rolled 530k and light still on, and all systems go.
I’m aware this is an old post but pretty much only you and Daniel Yeager have posted honest to god quality, stock - high mileage 3.5s - What are y’all’s thoughts on using 10w-30 here in HOT Hawaii? 136,000 miles and a lot of idling issues due to misfires
Have you seen my latest post on this pickup? On September 23rd, 2023 I rolled 500k!! And since then I'm at 513k!! Don't know what to say about 10W-30. I have always taken mine to a dealership
Im currently at 217k. Had the timing chain and phasers done around 170k? Electronic power steering was replaced around 180k. Had to replace the transmission control module about 8 months ago. That is a pita to find the part. Just replaced alternator yesterday. These trucks require maintenance like every other vehicle. I find it hard to believe its at 400k with just routine maintenance. Definitely not the norm with first gen ecos. Hopefully she will hit 300k. 400k will be even better.
Been looking for someone who has had to replace those timing, and phaser components as I want to buy pre-owned. Dealership refused to give an estimated cost. Do you recall the out of pocket cost?
@@Dragandspinn Was it a ford dealership? Any of them should be able to give you a quote. If you are mechanically inclined and you have time you can do it yourself.
@DANIAC262 yup it sure was. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't German car expensive! $4kish is alright. Trans, clutch, flywheel, etc on my G37 was 5k so I understand stuff cost. Looking to buy a pre-covid F150 so around a 2019 to very early 2020 build date. 3.5 is my preference but I like the 5.0 also.
