I noticed my bald spot during the first week of July and now it's almost August and I see the growth coming back a lot. I went to a family doctor and a dermatologist. My bloodwork showed I'm severely vitamin D deficient (12.3) and my thyroid levels were becoming more irregular. I started on medication for both. The derm recommended I update my diet too. I haven't been eating a lot of gluten (significantly reduced) and have significantly reduced my added sugar intake to reduce inflammation. Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune response so you want to reduce as many triggers as possible. I hope this helps! :-)
It is convenient when going shopping and you don't want to carry anything big. It's also good for guys who don't want to carry a wallet full of crap. I want one because I always have to carry some bag because I have so many mini things to carry. The only issue is where do you put your cell phone. I guess you can get a cell phone cover with a clip.

I also had no idea about alopecia when I had spot two bald patches on my head....it so so scarry of losing my hair n traumatic at the same time...I hope the treatment I am getting will show it's positive results...n I advise those who are going thru this or any other trauma in life should go in for counseling therapy...
Thank you for this video. I think about my hair loss everyday and it makes me cry a lot and I'm so close to shaving it. I've been dealing with it since about 13 and I'm 19 now. It's getting worse. I hope I can emotionally get through this at least and find new ways to be confident.
@@littlemiss9706 I hope you went to the derm! Get your bloodwork done. Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune response. Your body is upset about something! My dermatologist recommended I reduce gluten and sugar intake. Check your vitamin levels. Make sure to reduce stress as much as you can and how u respond to stress (this one is the hardest!) it will come back! Just gotta care for ourselves a little bit more. Our food today is not what it used to be back in the day. Lots of ingredients that just dont sit right with us.
@Amila-ym7ny I took a blood test multiple times bc the results kept changing, my blood was reacting with the tubes. Turns out my platelets are extremely low about 44 (considering the better results) when the normal range is between 150-450. Everything else is fine, vitamin D, iron, etc. I was told to stop taking collagen and Biotin for now and get checked again after 12 weeks. Also yeah I definitely need to learn how to manage my stress better. Thank you 😊♥️

4 years! Damn! Is going to be a long road for me. I am only 6 months into dealing with this. I decide to not focus on my head, let the slope is runs it’s course and focus on taking care of myself in other ways. Thanks for sharing. You gave me hope that one day my hair will come back. I’m dealing with horrible alopecia now. They just gave me the injections though, and I have basically spiraled out of control. I had so much pride in my hair, and I can no longer feel happy. I always feel depressed and insecure

I am 16 and I just found a bald spot at the back of my head and I panicked and cried at first then saw a dermatologist last month and they gave solution and a cream and medicine also but this month I even saw regrowth of hair then suddenly few days ago I noticed it spreaded a lot I am still in 10 grade I am sure everyone will bully me if they finds right now only my close friends knew and they was really supportive to me I am scared now after seeing it became bigger and a new place in my head is losing little by little and the first spot has became bigger I am really scared and my family is poor I don't want my dad to spend money on me bcoz we already are in a debt if it spreads I would rather die i dont wanna stress my family

I have been having this for 5 months and I want them to go away bc some people from my school make fun of me and I always use my hoodie so it can cover it. Wish me luck hopefully 🙏🏽 it gets better 😢
I have had this intermittently since I was a teenager. I was prone to anxiety, owing to undiagnosed Asperger's, so I think stress was a major factor. The patches always regrew, eventually, without treatment. In the interim I would just colour them in with an eyeliner pencil. I am now 50, and I have just discovered three patches today - the first recurrence in almost 15 years. In this case I think it is menopause, and stress over my mother's advancing dementia, that is proving to be the winning combination. Time to break out the eyeliner!

Thank you for the video Gen. I have a bald spot that I discovered in September 2022 (last year). It is right in front of my head and is about 2 cm. I have been under bad depression because of it and have lost my night sleep. It has given me such bad anxiety honestly that I never experienced before. It's more than 4 months now and I see very small fine baby hair growing. I have zero patience level and wonder how long did it take you to see these little hair growing? Did the hair stay fine and baby length, almost fuzzy for a few months before they began getting longer?

Thank you for sharing. I’ve on and off bald spots, however, each time it grows back baby hair. I was wondering if there will be a day where it stops growing. How to prevent that? Any tips? Also do you think cutting my hair shorter above shoulder will help from falling too much?
