I have these clutches on my 23 KTM 300 and 350 and they work flawless. I put one on my 24 Beta 390 race edition and I just can't get it to work like my KTM's do. Im to point of going back to stock clutch. Such a fine line between engagement, free play gain, slipping and dragging.I think some of it has to do with the way the Beta idles. I don't know
Wow! Rear brake lever sounds amazing… I’ve always felt like rear foot break was lacking on all bikes…. Like you said, ON/OFF. they suck. I’ll have to save up for this mod for sure!
My bike pulls me forward while just sitting on it to the point where you can't start or stop it gear without stalling. So I probably just need heavier springs and adjust free play.
Important question, I have a Crf 150r first of all, so do I need to add a new braking system for the rear in order to still be able to use my foot brake ?
KLR 650. Installed as it was preset with silver springs. Couldn't get it to work properly. Contacted Rekluse and after discussion was determined to need 3 red springs. Installed 3 red springs, nothing, exactly the same symptoms as before. I'm afraid all I am doing is burning up the friction disks/clutches. Sometimes it will sit and idle in gear and not creep. And as soon as I get in throttle it works. The problem is, after that it won't fully disengage, bit tries to creep. Turn engine off, and restart, and it will idle without creeping. Until I throttle up and engage the clutch, then it's back to creeping into I shut engine off. I'm getting to the point that I believe I've been taken for a lot of $$$$$ I'll never recoup.

Using an impact on the primary shaft bolt is a good way to destroy your rotor....the sharp vibrations could loosen the magnets. Don't do it this way, instead get a locking tool to prevent the sprocket assembly from rotating and use a breaker bar.
I had an early version of the rekluse in my wr450f and it really done well. It lasted 8 to 10 years with a lot of harescrambles on it. I had a 3.0 on a yz250f and it did not make it a year. It had nylon bushings in it and when it would get hot, they could fail. When I replaced my rekluse in my wr, I found an old pro version and it is doing well.
Great video, love your products. Question - On a 2024 KTM 300 XCW with a 4.0 installed, would the clutch pull be the same feel as stock? A ride buddy has the 3.0 with the same bike and his clutch is a little tough to pull in due to the Recluse set up. Thanks in advance.
Hi. Looking advise for installing Rekluse Left-Hand Rear Brake Kit. I have the OEM closed hand guards and could not find any way to install the upper pump. Checking Rekluse install video I see the are using hand guard mounts that attaches to the handle bar mount. Is the only way to install this already expensive kit is to buy another 150$ hand guard mounts? Do you guys have any other solution?
I just installed one of these (I haven't test ridden it yet, I'm replacing my exhaust at the same time and am waiting on it). A couple of comments based on my install: 1) The cylinder comes with piston very retracted. Even with pre-bleeding, it takes a LOT more fluid to move the piston to contact the clutch shaft. I actually removed the slave and pre-bled it again because I wasn't getting the pressure on the leaver. Once I realized how far back the piston was compared to the factory piston, I knew it would just take a lot more fluid. A vacuum bleeder won't push out the piston, so you have to pump the leaver. 2) The pickup on the master reservoir is pretty high up so it's easy to run the reservoir dry, which means you have to start all over again. 3) The tube you sent with mine was annoyingly small and it was pretty hard to get it on the bleeder. I couldn't do it by hand (as in the video), I had to use pliers to push it on and the tube tore in my first attempt.
If you are dead stopped on a hill, yes it will free fall but that's why most people that climb gnarly hills with auto clutches install the Left Hand Rear Brake (LHRB). Not only do you have the foot brake but also the left hand brake so if you have to bull dog down a hill the LHRB really comes into play. Once you get used to the LHRB, you ride the bike like a mountain bike, using the right lever for the front brake and left lever for the rear brake. You can use the clutch if needed but most of the time you just leave it alone. Hope that helps for anyone looking at auto clutches, I see this question come up a lot.
Having trouble with my clutch engaging, feels like its lagging before getting into gear...feels like it finally engages at the top end of the gears....what could be the issue.....the free play game is on point how can i ajust this
I've only got two rides on a Rekluse on my CR500 but it has been awesome. No longer fear hitting the rear brake too hard and can concentrate on turning rather than managing the clutch in ruts.
HD has gone to selling only high end, discontinuing the venerable Sportster. Now they expect us to spend 20K. Hope Rekluse wise up & start making them for other bikes as HD is gonna loose market share as sure as the Pope is a Catholic. Yamaha Bolt is a great alternative to the Sportster. Go check one out.
Amigo, hice el procedimiento correctamente así que cuando apreté los tornillos al final, la campana giró un poco, luego después de presionar el embrague no se movió, ¿qué puede ser?
Excellent video that helped me resolve an issue I was having with my Radius CX which was dragging. Ended up moving increasing the set gap and swapped out the springs to the all Silver springs. Works perfect now.
The same way you do when they are new, you use the slave adjustment. If just can't seem to adjust you might have too much wear on the clutches. Contact Rekluse at that point, they are great to deal with. I had a few questions for them and the two times I called, I got different techs and they were spot on for my issue and were very knowledgeable.
Hello everyone . I need some help. I placed the clutch kit in my 1200gs LC 2015 model couple days ago and I followed the instructions , torque the bolts at clutch basket 10 N and when i was ready and started the bike i heard a dance noise from the clutch basket , time to time it stops and then back again , also when im pressing the clutch lever also stops, but no problem( yet )with rest engine behavior when im riding. What sould i do ?
