Neil Schon...Leslie West...Steve Howe...good job with Terry Kath...but if the list left of Al Di Meola the list was forfeit...ps kill the blue grass...
Rolling Stone is clearly prejudiced against classicists, folk musicians, other traditional stylists. Some of their picks are third rate at best. Are they lying or just tone deaf?
I'm only 45 seconds into the video but the first little solo section is sooo tasty. Nothing weird or flashy, it's just so *right* and expressive and purposeful. Awesome touch. Very sweet!
Allan Holdsworth Joe Pass Paco de Lucia are 3 of the Mount Rushmore 4... One of Hendrix Reinhardt Beck Segovia would be the 4th... and yet those 3 don't even make top 250..🥴🥺🙄🙄😡😡
Nice. Last night, I had an "Ah-ha" moment with Strings. I was like, "He's just using more of the chromatic scale than traditional bluegrass." Obviously, bluegrass walks the scale all the time. It was the 4 + note walks throwing me off a bit. Once that hit my slow brain, it all came together.
Really fast, clean, and in time. The thing that baffles me is playing over the chord changes so smoothly. Connecting multiple scales and positions is an art!!!
