I'm a newbie (only about 2 years of watching), so I don't have a top 5 Travers, although some of my favorite horses were Travers winners; I need to watch all those races. I still get weepy over Arrogate, though, so I have to try and stay in the present. I still get weepy over Maple Leaf Mel, too, and couldn't help but think of her on "Test" day recently... I did notice that NObody mentioned her. R.I.P. Mel.
Thank you. I had never seen that race, and love a good upset (didn't realize that Rich Strike was emulating his sire in that '22 KD win, though in NASCAR fashion😊). I feel that these horses, just as they will not reveal weakness if they can help it (the 'prey' thing), will also conceal their true HP. Many 'losers' do so because they're not interested (there have been exceptions to this, of course, since some stallions/geldings really love to tout themselves in front of a crowd) in entertaining their captors. Everything about this sport is hyper-controlled and contrived, so the only Power they have is to be true to themselves, even if they ultimately end up at the knackers... imo.😁 I enjoy speculating as to what they might be communicating to each other, pre-race. Eg., on the flight to Riyadh for the Saudi Cup, two of the US contenders (White Abarrio being one--The winner, Senor Buscador, was NOT one of them) got into a substantial fight! Which the public would have no knowledge of if Michelle Yu hadn't mentioned it before the Saudi Cup was run. I liked that "Honey Proof" (USA) was invited for, and participated in, the Arabian Classic that same day, despite being up against the now 17-of-17 win machine, "Asfan al Khalediah."
I am against Ottoman Fleet on the win end. He is consistent though so will play verticals with him in 2nd and 3rd positions. Strong Quality can wire no? I agree wide-open. Thank you both much!!
Yes, there will be special wagers for the P5 and P4 on both Saturday and Sunday. As for the track, by Sunday I would imagine we’ll be fast on the main track and likely good to firm on the turf. Beautiful weather the next 48 hours.

In 5th I’m going Classicist with shot in the dark as my big shot. 6th love Antietam. In 7th I’ll differ and say I think things set up for Legend of time. In 8th value is my mane squeeze who faced torpedo Anna twice and moves up on off track. In 10th Cogburn seems almost easy single but there’s potential for massive exotics if he didn’t fire. Mischief magic needs to keep closer and avoid traffic issues but if anyone can do it..horses like 2-4-7-8 can present great value as unders or bombs! I went into Whitney loving Arthur’s ride but tons of speed and an acid test for him so love both your picks off the pace. In 12th I find Nikitis a good value. 535k purchase, Irad, blinks. In last 1-10-11 have back class at decent odds and the 9 can be a nice under fodder if you forgive last and consider the pedigree and back class. Good luck all!
