I believe Flea and Anthony are apart of the killing of John. They kept John hooked on drugs, after he was so far gone. They needed him, for his talent. And you can see how much John was becoming a nuisance to them, as a band. And making them look bad. So they kept John away, hooked on whatever he wanted. Which wasn’t much, just drugs. As you can see in other interviews, near his death date. You can tell, he was there only for his music. Until he couldn’t create any more for them.
I know John's performance is the easiest to single out (his tone is an awful mush here), but the whole band is off. Flea is way out of tune in many songs and Chad is unusually dragging the tempo. The three of them sound like they are playing in different bands. Anthony is the most solid of the 4, which is extremely rare. Frusciante's antagonism must have been the main reason, but his playing wasn't the only weak spot that night.
I saw this on acid... I'm fighting depression a few years ago, this man makes me feel like I just avoided total doom by stop doing heeee. Drugs are bad if you're not responsible. I don't know, take care. I'm 26, hello everyone. I feel better now
This is my favorite interview for so many reasons. The way John is still so fragile but open and the way Anthony is also open and honest and listening to his friend, it's just so sweet. I love them.
I heard, can't remember where, that John wrote My Eye Hurts on his wall because he mixed some cocaine with a small amount of water and dripped it in his eye to have it hit him faster, apparently it burns!!!
