We get it Chuck... You're a SIMP for Henry. If the federation isn't doing enough and you ever need something to frustrate you as a USMNT fan listen to some of these guys takes

And how well did he do in mls? How successful was his stint at Monaco? Sure he can put the cones out for a team to reach third but how successful is he really? No standards, unbelievable. You’d imagine former players and media would apply a little more pressure for a better manager since there are so many available

It's a cancha song, get over it. We sing worst things about each other on a given Sunday. It's our sense of humor, like the president of the Argentina Fútbol Association said: Don't try to understand it, just enjoy it.

This topic has already been addressed by American television on the daily show with Trevor Noah and this is the answer. We Argentines know the great challenge it is to face people of color who are taller, faster and very strong... and although there are stupid people in every country... in general we are not racist. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EqlPm5gN9cg.html

Chuck dismissed Herve Renard for winning 2 AFCON Cups. But wants Henry hired on the spot if he wins a U-23 tournament as the host nation and expected favorite. 🤣

Why is Patrick Viera on this list? He has never managed a team to a winning record, nor has he ever created a system that fosters goal scoring chances. No team of his has ever averaged more than 1.1 goals per game. He plays a defensive possession system where the possession seems to be designed just to prevent the opponent from scoring, as opposed to developing goal scoring chances. This is not a recipient for success. Also, everywhere he has gone, the teams got better after he left.

French were singing about Messi’s statue in 2018. Germans made fun of Gauchos in 2014. Did argentina 😭 no! Argentina winning 4 trophies 🏆 has Everyone targeting their every word and accusing reffing and fifa helping them… argentina again takes it in the chin. These chants are sang often by hooligans that like the Mexican homophonic slur when a goalie kicks the ball or when there are fights on the streets by the Dutch… this time the players got caught in the chants and that’s it! We are making a truth to be something about racism… the truth is that 80% of the French team is of African descent. Period. Golazo you can do better as journalists to attract attention.

The African population used to be more than 50 percent of the Argentine population, and there used to be more black people in Argentina than in Brazil, Argentina committed mass genocide against its African population, and I personally would never set foot in Argentina. Argentina from 1868 to 1874, Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, undertook a genocide' that wiped out the Afro-Argentinean population to the point that by 1875, there were so few Black people left in Argentina that the government didn't even bother registering African descendants in the national census. Tellingly, Sarmiento wrote in his diary in 1848: What is [to be] done with such blacks, hated by the white race? Slavery is a parasite that the vegetation of English colonization has left attached to the leafy tree of freedom,” - International Business Times. imagine they killed half their population. the land of Argentina was fertilized with the blood and bones of Argentina's former African enslaved population. the food that grows in Argentina, and the grass that grows, for which the cattle graze on, was fertilized by the blood and bones of, its former African enslaved population, that unique taste that you taste, when you eat food grown and grazed in Argentina, is the blood and bones of your former enslaved people. African slaves built Argentina, and then the former slave owners paid back the slaves for the great works, toil, and effort, with mass genocide, the most complete and comprehensive genocide in human history. most of the present black and African population in Argentina are recent elite African and black immigrants, who did not arrive in Argentina until after 1980 and are not descendants of Argentina's African enslaved population. Argentina has gone a long way in whitewashing the genocide of its former African enslaved population, by allowing marginal mostly elite African immigrants, who themselves are somewhat anti-African, and tend to be very invested in absolving the European Argentine population of its genocide past, one of histories most comprehensive genocides committed against Argentinas descendants of Argentinas African population descendant of the trans-Atlantic slave system

..if you are not doing well at the moment like the USMNT, of course any good coach can be the right fit, depending on what the project is. Wilfried can make the USMNT better, because right now they are not good. Now, if you change the question to something more ambitious that's when you're going to have a different conversation. You have to pick a coach for the USMNT who will give you what you don't have as a team which is the EXPERIENCE. Someone who knows already what it will take to beat the BIG National Teams. You only need to win games at the World cup, not reinvent Soccer or create a Miracle. You have to go in with the mentality that any team can beat any team on any given day. So who is that coach who will make the players you have play in a way that they can have a better than 50/50 chance at beating any National Team including the World Champion or any European side. The Coach's Experience is important in the World Cup, which is why all Federations hire or try to hire expert Coaches. The Expert Coach is one who played the World Cup and realized a Good Result, because he understands the different Styles and knows how to adapt and how to win.

Gareth SouthGOAT will get USMNT to playoffs at the next 4 major tournaments, atleast 2 finals with quarters at the worst. Because it was all due to his amazing coaching and tactics that the most valuable international roster managed to beat San Marino 87 times, he made Jude Bellingham score that bicycle kick and I'm sure he could do the same with any player from the US! He will patiently wait till the 135th minute to make his first sub and jedi mind trick his way through penalty shootouts, definitely the #1 candidate

Come on Charlie with all due respect, your take on Hervé Renard seems quite dismissive. First of all unless I have completely misread your tone, it’s seems like you’re downplaying the weight of winning AFCON. Second of all, he didn’t just win it twice, he’s the ONLY coach to have won AFCON with two different counties, one of them being Zambia who was an underdog in the tournament. His Saudi Arabia team was also the only team to beat Argentina in the World Cup. He is an experienced international coach who has a record of winning. He also has a record of punching above his weight (something our last manager didn’t do a single time). Even if Saudi Arabia didn’t advance that was still a gigantic upset. I get if he’s not your preferred candidate but downplaying his success is baffling.

@digby7404 12 часов назад
Also I’m sorry but I just find it interesting that you’re willing to downplay that but you’re already praising Henry for winning a medal at the Olympics with one of the best teams at home. It just seems inconsistent.
