I had that same exact model in 2000 or so. It was all original except the foam surrounds on the speakers. It was amazing, sounded and looked great. I guess i really didn't appreciate what I had at the time. (like so many other things in life). I always thought it was the best looking jukebox i ever saw; Still do.
Good info. Thanks. My 2018 Master Spa Twilight Series 7.2 quit working earlier this summer. Since it was summer and I had a ton of other projects going on I haven't looked at it until today. And I found the same thing that you showed. Breaker tripped and disconnecting the circulation pump connection the breaker stayed on. So now time to buy and replace circulation pump. Thanks for the confirmation.
Couldn't watch video after seeing how filthy and dirty your grille. Not taking care of your grill shows laziness and a lack of sanitary common sense. Get your act together before you make someone sick
We just had our 2nd pump go out on our 2011 twilight7.25. Just searching to see if it’s a job for us to do. The last one was nearly $1000. For pump, service call and labor.
Black is broken down pieces from metal in circ pump - these pumps have to be replaced almost yearly. If you open old circ pump you will see pump is rusted out. They need to provide a new pump brand
That's really nice man! I bought an '04 from my neighbor with the 4.0 V6 and the 5 speed manual last September. Basically, to have something to tinker with in the garage and bond with my boys while doing it. So satisfying to see the older one now being able to drive a stick shift. I told him: "Be proud of yourself". not many people have these skills anymore especially since these are really old school driving transmissions, without any computers helping you to rev match or anti-stall technologies. We're replacing the pickup box as I speak because of rust and found a really nice flare side one.
Honestly I’d just fix that rust with whatever you want to do . But instead of trying to paint match it or try and get the repair perfectly smooth. I’d two tone it with black rino liner. I got some dents and rust myself and was thinking about doing that. Love the attention to detail. I have big plans this summer hopefully with mine
Just got a 97 xl 4x4 for free. Going to keep it forever and mod it/ restore it. It was my wife’s dad’s truck and he was a hot rod old school car builder. I’m a welder and I work on my own cars and sports cars. Cars are a bitch but they love you back when you give them love. Have fun yall
I have 99 b3000 4x4 did my frsme just like you couldn't get bed off though too rusty so i just did what i could with cans of rusteolulom rust reform not as bad as yours thought put bilsteins on and moog control arms havent touched leafs though but bushings shot i pay 5k
Wife got me a 36” for Christmas with all the bells & whistles. Finally going to season mine tomorrow, then hit up some smash burgers. Great video for those of us who have heard all the horror stories and don’t want to screw it up. Happy grilling and CHEERS 🍻
for frame preservation, dont use anything oil based (krown, etc) only water based. if you can find a corrosion free vendor in your area, do it. Traditional black coatings will trap moisture and rot out from underneath, so itll look good until someone goes to raise it, and it collapses in.
LOL. I have exact same model as well. I have to admit, I got anxiety watching you season the grill with tongs. Griddles seasoned right and taken care of after that make cooking so easy. I've developed an obsession for using my Blackstone. I'm no expert, but this grill makes me look like a pro as my family and guests love whatever I make on it. My other grills haven't been used since before Christmas. Good video.
I just purchased a 98 Ford Ranger 2.5l ( manual). I have done a full tune up new spark plugs, plug wires, ignition coils, new Fuel Injectors, and an instrument cluster with a tach. I have spent about $500 just in basic maintenance as it sat for 8 months before I purchased it. I purchased it for $1,000 put about $500 in trying to see what else I can do, and would like to keep everything under $2,000 as it is just a little trash truck and my fun vehicle. Any suggestions on what else I should look at doing to it?
Tough to say without knowing the truck but I always start with the vitals just as you have. Fuel filter (you may have done that already) comes to mind since the truck sat. I had a problem with the trans lines (you won;'t have that issue) and the break lines so I'd look at the break system and the hubs etc. Sorry if I'm mentioning things you've already looked at. If everything is sound, maybe have a little fun and throw on an exhaust or some wheels!
@@SoToday1104 I have replaced the fuel filter. I am currently replacing the upper and lower ball joints on the front end as they were pretty much shot. I put brand new upper control arms instead of just replacing the ball joint because it was only a $10 different from just the ball joint alone
I'd change the transmission fluid. That's one of the first things I did on mine. Since it's a manual it's super easy to do. Then of course my OCD took over and also did both the transfer case and rear differential. Glad I did though, those fluids were super dirty and old.
I'm noticing that. The weather has been horrible the past couple of weeks and I've only used it about 3 or 4 times but I can see the surface getting better and things don't stick like they did on the first cook. Thanks for the comment!
Nice lookin truck. My first and only brand new vehicle was a 01 ranger. I installed a rubber bed floor mat to protect it. To this day the floor looks new. The plastic bed liner you have in yours will rust out the floor in certain areas. If I were you I would remove it as soon as you can. Especially if you live up north. But I don't want you to just take my word for it. Ask anyone who has had experience with them. It doesn't matter the brand of truck or liner. I'd hate to see you put all that time, effort, and money into your rig just to see it rust out the floor. I recently purchased a 06 ranger with the factory installed bed liner. I've never liked them so I removed it only to find it rusted through across the whole front edge of the floor and around both hold down bolts in the floor at the front and another area about middle way of the floor on the right side. Also the paint was rubbed off of both inner fenders.
I appreciate the feedback. Maybe I’ll look into a spray liner. I do have a couple of spots of surface rust that I spot treated, i certainly don’t want that getting worse!
@@SoToday1104 That Herculiner that comes in a spray can is pretty rocking actually, not bad for $14 a can. I got it at Amazon. I decided to coat the entire new bed before installing it since I have it standing up in the garage and it'll be much easier that way. I did the tailgate the other day and it looks really good.
Nice vid man. Trying to justify myself spending so much money on this. I honestly want the cooking space but i dont care for the bells and whistles. Ill most likely never use the induction heater. Wish they had a giant traeger like this size but for 2k or something atleast
I just bought a 1998 StepSide Ranger single cab for my 15yr old and I to work on. Our frame look like yours. our bed is rusted out and its hard to know how much is to much to put into a project. At some point it just becomes a full restoration project which I would love if I had the space, time and money. We got the motor running good. We bought a vinyl floor replacment of the old carpet and just realize the rear seat belt bolts and rear seat bolts are completely rusted and seized in place... Now we have to figure out the best way to remove the bolts. If possible retain the integrity of the mounting area. Watching lots of videos on youtube on how to remove old rusted out bolts...
Rusted bolts are the worst and each one behaves differently. I used a lot of heat and penetrating oil for the most part but I can’t say I didn’t just grind and punch out some of the most stubborn bolts, when possible.
The video I followed was from ChrisFix ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qRMSvFO7org.htmlsi=H9jggIiPMI6hGU0Z . If that doesn’t help, let me know. Thanks for watching!
My 93 ranger got sideswiped and totalled. Insurance gave me 4 grand. Bought a 97 with bad engine. Swapped 93 engine in after I bought it back. 760 thousand mile engine still runs great 3 yrs later in my new truck. Did suspension brakes and body looks drives new 500 dollar investment
Well done. It really is hard to muck it up. Looking forward to your first cook. One suggestion, get the grease cups. If you forget to clean it out, you can just toss it. Without the grease cups, that stuff can be nasty. New fan from the Great White North 🇨🇦.
