Yes, they added an intercooler in 1999. The oldest models can support it by changing the intake spider with the 1999+ newer, adding the piping and the intercooler.
It sure does. But for being 50 years old and having sat for years, it started right up. It didn’t care about low sulfur diesel, additives, etc. All it needed were batteries
