Humans have been growing taller...until they started eating grains and ultra processed foods. Then they started shriveling up, getting sick more frequently until ultimately they became sterile and went extinct. There's a more realistic prediction of our species' future, sadly.
If you think is badly designed then go on and fix it!! Every time I hear this its like hearing a Karen saying that cars are badly designed because you have to change their oil after a few months.
Saw something about how a mutation that increases fertility in women also causes Alzheimer's way after the body is no longer fertile and thus useless from the perspective of natural selection
This would be a good video if it did not say she every time it referred to a variance in the mammalian primate. variance lifeform; it's annoying and blatant sexism.... because it takes two to tango.... and it sounds better to say c's not shes....
Man, you really are full of yourself with that title huh? Not even grateful that you have a functioning body, all 4 limbs attached, the ability to utilize all 5 senses and everything else. Your brain too. Yet you decide to look at the 'negatives'. Wow
Our bodies aren't badly designed. You can't everything. Design is always a trade off. If something seems odd, it's because it had to make way for a better adaptation. Take the lack of fur. That's so we could sweat. Being able to expel heat is more important than being able to hold it in. After all you can always wear the fur of another animal.
Disclaimer: didn't watch the video, commenting on the title and the comments I've read What a disgustingly ignorant title. Only those with little knowledge of the human body (and bodies of other creatures for that matter) would have such a thought. And these comments, what a disgrace. Whether you believe in evolution or supernatural design, the efficiency and resiliency of the human body is indescribable. Although we've strayed from natural means of achieving physical health in pursuit of convenient medical interventions, the self-rectifying processes encoded in our bodies still remains. As a species, humans (intentionally or not) have strayed so far from our nature that we cannot expect to live without suffering the consequences. Not only do we no longer hunt for days on end, adopting instead a comparatively sedative lifestyle, but we poison ourselves almost nonstop throughout our entire lives. Aside from physical injuries and inherited genetic abnormalities, nothing exists that can best our bodies other than things of our own creation. Even the most lethal infections are reversible through engaging our self healing bodily algorithms. Processes that rid us of harmful exogenous or endogenous cells, decompose malfunctioning cells of our own, and stimulate the growth of healthy cells.
What a dumb title. The answer is, because they are not designed: design noun 1. a plan or drawing produced to show the look and function or workings of a building, garment, or other object before it is made. Ergo, the human body is not designed.
An actual link is just a frozen moment in the flow of history. You can continue breaking history down into an infinite number of links. Evolution is more of a flow, gradual and progressive than a clean jump from one species to another. The more we learn and discover, the more fine tuned and numerous the number of links that will be explained.
the reduction in brain size has sky-rocketed in the last 20 years, the measured the brain size of people born in 2003 against the brain size of people born in 2024, and it turns out, the brains of people born in 2024 are nearly %100 smaller
My nose was chiseled by the gods themselves, Frank. My body was sculpted to the proportions of Michelangelo's David. YOU, on the other hand, well, you're a pit of despair. Frank, you disgust ME. YOU disgust EVERYONE, and you will NEVER...EVER be on that billboard.
I feel like if there were giant lizards why not XXL tall humans ? And maybe there’s not much evidence of that because they didn’t die???? Maybe they were smart enough to have survived the cataclysm by living in underground bunkers? Or by going to live on a space station, until the earth was livable again. And maybe those that did survive the catastrophe on ground level would have to be small and compact and those underground would be pale from never seeing the sun and so they went down a different path of evolution. Impact of that magnitude is likely what started the break up of the continents causing isolated pockets of evolution. It would explain why there are so many similarities between the ancient pyramids around the world, And the many other theories revolving around our history.
Okay. Male mammals have the biggest design flaw in existence. TESTICLES. Overly sensitive and vulnerable, commonly uncomfortable, easy to injure and quite literally TWIST inside the scrotum. I’ve seen a video of a possum getting stuck in between fence posts BY ITS BALLS. They are also just gross and unnerving. Like you can’t tell me you guys actually have ever gone “ah, I just love these sweaty sacks of nerves that get stuck to my legs and put me through agonizing pain if someone kicks them!” I rather have two periods a month than have balls. I’ve heard so many horror stories and they just sound so uncomfortable. Plus, sensory stuff would make me wanna cry.
I am wanting to be cloned and working on making that happen. Having a few clones for spar parts would be f awesome. I would also be totally ok with a Terminator body. 😅
As a woman, what really irks me is that periods are not essential to create human life, many mammals do not have them, and the only reason human women do is because out uterus linings adapted to be so thick they could no longer be reabsorbed. This js probably because of all the physical activity we used to do in the stone ages/ ye olde times, but it has certainly lowered my quality of life. Also, women aren't designed to get old. Our bone density is destroyed when we go through menopause, or if we have a hormone imbalance, causing osteoporosis. Men have no such issue linked to their hormones. :( and people still say we're overreacting
