Hi from the 5 of us! Mike,Hannah,Ollie,Luca and Parker.
long before having kids we had always had a passion for travel and adventure. Now a family of 5 the passion to travel hasn't gone away. We don't want to wait until the kids are all grown up to explore the world. Instead we want to do it together as a family, having fun and making memories while we can.
We welcome you to come join us in our journey into full time travel. Leaving our jobs and selling our home. We will be sharing with you our experiences from around the world focusing on, different cultures, education for the boys, food, accommodation and adventure.
So join us, come along for the ride as we adjust to our new lifestyle. We know things won't always be easy but hope to spend more quality time together. Through our real, honest experiences you might see your next holiday destination, maybe we can help with some hints and tips along the way as we learn the do's and don'ts of travelling the world as a family.
I feel your van would be better with an elevator bed where you can sleep up to 6 people. You can then fit in a toilet and shower for the whole family instead of the bunk beds. That's the only thing missing for this van.
Hi Guys, we are just starting out on our own van build and we've been really inspired by your bunkbed and rear lounge / double bed layout as we have a similar-sized van and are a family of 4. I just wanted to ask (if you don't mind telling me that is) how much did the build cost you guys? I'm looking to do most of the work myself, I just thought it would be good to check before we start if it's even viable for us to do a similar project with our budget. Thank you in advance
Poor children, it is not fair that the children have to live cramped in a van because the parents still want to live as if it were not a large family...or it is not coherent to buy such a small van for such a large family.... . Every human being needs their time of privacy and space to put your individual things.
You’ve done an outstanding job with this van. You both have thought of EVERYTHING! Including places for your kids schoolwork! I’m so impressed. It’s obvious you put your kids first in every decision made. Well done and enjoy all your future family travels!!!!
Awesome conversion just one ? With everything you carry plus all the 5of you plus full water tank gas tank grey water tank plus diesel tank have you weighed your van what mgw is your van I'm guessing 3.5tonne
Probably THE BEST conversion I’ve seen in years!! If your hubby did that, y’all would make a killing helping first timers like myself create such a masterpiece! Sooo simple yet extraordinary! Well done, super inspiring 🙏🏻🥰👌✨
I recommend you to build a small trailer box at the back to full of that has bathroom in also move the kitchen on the trailer box so you have more space on your ban the design is L shape on the oning area when you get park everywhere I prepare in the ban is the sala and the bed imagine it and its magnificent
No way… no bathroom nor privacy with husband..kids can hear everything….not for me!! To me that’s abuse..parents don’t want to work at real jobs to give the kids a real life..those children deserve so much more..not living cramped up in a van .
That’s really insulting to the billions of people around the world who live in similar conditions. It is very common on this Earth for entire families to live in one or two room homes. How tone deaf to say that they are abusing their children when actual abuse is happening probably in your neighborhood within your fancy homes. Must be nice to be so privileged that this is abuse to you.
We have done a similar thing with our kids and it was the best thing we did. Our kids who are a lot older now still talk about the adventures we had all the time. It’s not that we didn’t want to work it’s that we wanted to spend quality time with our children while they are young. How is kids spending quality family time with their parents abuse? Both mum and dad working 5 days a week and hardly seeing the family feels more like abuse to me. Great work Hi 5. Try and ignore the judgmental comments and keep doing what works for you and your family.
It’s a dream of mine to have one I hate hotels. The only downside is the bathroom situation and laundry. If a washer dryer combo could go in and a bathroom your set. Love the stove top and oven. Love the bunk beds and the seating for driving. Amazing job. Did you build it yourself ? What would the cost in American dollars be for both the van and build ? Do you use solar ?
