Project Yosemite is a time-lapse video project set in Yosemite National Park and shot by Colin Delehanty and Sheldon Neill. We started it in January 2012 after meeting through Vimeo. The idea for the project came to us during our first overnight trip to Half Dome.
We've been working together since then to capture and share our experiences in Yosemite National Park. We want to inspire others through our work like many others have done for us.
Why haven't you guys made any more videos? Your timelapses are beyond formidable. They are EPIC. They are out of this world! Truly! please make more timelapses. I beg you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have a home near Yosemite and know the park well. This footage is sublime and unique. I have never seen many of the angles and views you presented. It makes me dream of what more there is to explore in and around Yosemite.
SO CAPTIVATING! This is such a beautiful video, capturing the beauty of mother earth and the cosmos. This is emotional for me because one of my favourite places on the earth is our Alberta and BC Mountains. Thank you for sharing Yosemite. so blessed.
I've been blessed to live within a 3 hour drive of Yosemite and have been to this most wonderful place many times. This video combined with M83's Outro absolutely moves me to the point I can almost feel the magic that is Yosemite.
To my loved ones; play this at my funeral when the people come to give me a last hello, and play it loud enough so that I can hear it "up there" too...simply a masterpiece...
The work and probable heartache that went into getting even one of these sequences is awe-inspiring. To anyone who has been to the Diving Board, it's a strenuous, off-trail bushwhack on a nice summer day, but I can't imagine what it took to make the trip winter conditions, to get the sequences in this video.
Beautiful imagery! I was wishing it were a little slower and longer. Don't care for the loud singing that starts around 2 minutes, felt intrusive to me
I don't think this video gets the appreciation it deserves. The visuals and the music go perfectly together. Thank you for showing us how beautiful our planet can be
Stunning. I love this as much as I did when I first watched it 9 years ago. It’s still my dream to visit Yosemite, can’t wait to see it for the first time in real life some day.
I couldn’t either. Decided one day to just drop everything, pack and just went on a whim. Inspired me to work to leave everything behind and attend the LE Park Ranger Academy and go in a new direction in life. Well, leave everything but my dog.
I’ve had this very video saved on my phone for about 8 years. It allows me to dream of seeing such beauty with my own eyes, in person. Visiting Yosemite has been on my bucket list for 22+ years, but I’ve never crossed the ocean from the UK to the USA let alone visited the park. I could die happy if I saw that overwhelming beauty for myself. If I ever made it, I would probably sob uncontrollably for a while, and allow that beauty and majesty to flow through me, around me and over me. I would surrender to it, be hypnotised by it. But for now, I can only dream. Just this video brings me to tears sometimes, so I can’t imagine actually being there.
I’m going Yosemite for the first time in May, came across this video while “searching for things to do”. It is getting me very excited! This is a work of art!
Well I *was* getting stuff done at work. Now I'm looking through my old climbing photos from half a lifetime ago and thinking I'm pretty lucky to have gotten to do all those things when you could still get away with it!
after many viewings still one of the best things i have ever seen. Brilliant work. Massive shout out to Outro by M83. i get chills everytime the drums kick in ;)
Still coming back here year after year. You've been the reason I've dived into Timelapse photography. But I'm into a little different topic - long term food timelapse. Thanks once again for inspiration! :)
And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." Isaiah 6:3, God has clearly shown his divine nature in his creation. The wonder, amazement that we feel watching this breathtaking landscapes, tell us about his greatness. Seek happiness in Him.
