Helping Hand is a nonprofit organization serving adults and children with disabilities in suburban Cook County and greater Chicagoland communities since 1955.

The programs and services at HH include a school, progressive employment programs that promote being equally valued in workplaces, pediatric therapies (occupational and speech/language), high school transition services, Community Living (CILA), and specialized programs with high team member-to-client ratios for seniors with disabilities.
That's me at 0:29 and 1:05 when I was an intern in Project SEARCH at the LaGrange Memorial Hospital from 2014-2015. It was the last thing my dad ever got me into before he passed away on Sep 15th of 2014. At least I did get my first part-time job, which was what I loved a whole freaking lot, until I had to leave it to go back to Triton College to take required courses in order to get a 2-year diploma that is transferable to a 4-year college/university
