For getting a strong joint drill hole against both stock face and place join material in hole and woods hole size stick to fully insert Such lock in both sticks will have strong hold
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9:27) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: (Acts 17:30) For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. (2 Corinthians 7:10) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (Luke 13:5) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
@OP Good job. You're getting a lot of hate, and yet we are wrong. I included myself because I was one of them. I edited my old comment. The technique actually works. By adding more surface area the joint becomes stronger. People hate on this because it's an end grain glue-up. However, the well established, idea that end grain glue-ups are weak is a fallacy. The reason end grain glue-ups seem weak is because the joint has a small surface area, and when trained enough the joint breaks on the glue line. Yet, a long grain glue-up with the same amount of surface area is much weaker as the wood fibers will give out before the glue does.
