I personally believe it's your own DNA , as with Mr Dawson . We looked at his ancestry and he is a descendant of a pretty prominent Scottish warrior type . I'm convinced they know exactly what qualities they are pulling out of abductees.
Jackie has a lightning quick wit and an infectious laugh that would have you rolling on the floor for hours. When you were in his spotlight and getting your balls busted, watch out! Why would you be disgusted when he's always pushed for respect for human remains? On top of that, it's not odd to preserve history. Most of his specimens are ex-medical with no other place to go after being decommissioned.
A very interesting topic. Queen guitarist Brian May has published a book on the Diableries and a lot of research has gone into them for the book. I know the original stereo cards in this series were very elusive but May has a complete set and it took him about 30 years to track down all of them. They can be viewed in 3D in the book with the included viewer.
What I find most bizarre is how nonchalant he is describing his collections. I appreciate his respectful attitude but the lace collar on the Monkey is a bit much.
