Even though I have always been a Laker homer, but the GREATEST player of all time is Bill Russell PERIOD. Michael and Kobe can't even carry his jock strap. Individual player Wilt Chamberlain. Who cares that you can slam dunk with your tongue out. Russell beat them both combined and they never had to put up with what Russell did. Both Wooden and West also said it. Enough for me.

@megatroll sad that you desperately cling to the vestiges of the past. you can't compare players of different eras bc the game changes, the competition changes, the athletes get better and play longer. magic and bird were amazing players, as was Michael. but there has never been a player like lebron james, and kobe is coming off of 16 years of dominating this league. they are all the best of all time,
@junior4thT You know, I find it really amusing when people talk about Kobe being a ball hog and never holding Jordan to that same standard. In his overall career, Jordan averaged 22.9 field goal attempts a game. In Kobe's career, he averaged 19.5. More importantly, Jordan would average around 23.5 attempts a game when he had Pippen, Grant, and the championship teams. Kobe's attempts went up in the years after Shaq and before Gasol, when he had NOBODY to help him out.
@KOBEandCAMBRIA24 you mean the kobe that took 40 shots a game? even with this current lakers team and a prime ball hog kobe won't guarantee championships. Who could ever excel on a team where one guy attempts 40 shots a game shooting 40+ percent? Basketball is all about rhythm, the lesser touches you have the colder you get that's what happened to smush and all other laker that time. @MrIsmailmian24 Stylistically, Kobe is the closest to MJ, but statistically it's not even close. LeBron is actually closer to MJ if you look at statistics and not mannerisms.
