I have been to Cherry Creek about 10 times and almost never catch any fish. Josh in this video has had success many times over by the damn. I personally just have bad luck here! Good luck to you!
Try fishing about 30 yards to your left off the bottom using Pautzke Fire Balls with gold glitter the Lakers love it. Have not been there for a few years but will try ice off in 2024. Good luck.
All of it was unexpected. I have only got perch in the past on a fly or worm on a hook. I find it weird that I got a carp in the back fin. I also rarely get brown trouts. And to catch these fish on medium sized lures was really odd! Eyes bigger than their stomachs! LOL
Thanks for watching! I have never caught catfish but I am willing to learn. Fishing is weird....you never know what the results are going to be. The other day I went fishing for an hour with out my gopro and sure enough....I got 6 trout and a bass.
Thanks for watching! I always find it funny how when it comes to fishing you never know what is going to happen. I was really trying hard the first 2 hours trying to get a walleye and had to go back to the basics! Powerbait usually never fails!
The waterfowl you asked about was a (hen) common merganser. You may also see red-breasted mergansers here and the hens are very similar in appearance, but they don't breed here. There is a strong correlation between the presence of mergansers and the presence of trout (based purely on my experience). Same for belted Kingfisher and great blue heron.
I've been trying to figure this lake out. No luck after two visits. Mostly fished along the dam area using cranks, plastics, spoons, small castmasters. Never tried a jig with bobber method.
This lake is tricky and I don't know why either. To my knowledge there is mainly bass and bluegill and maybe catfish. As a result, I would imagine summer months are ideal. Let me know if you have any success in the future!
I worked for open space with Jeffco over the summer, mainly in that park, one thing about the unlabeled trails, Jeffco did not make those trails, and they don’t maintain those trails. They try to close those trails when people complain about them.
I appreciate you watching the video and informing me on this. I was recently told that they are in the progress of creating new trails up there and will be labeling them soon.
I dont need the gift card, but Tom Petty. He was my true musical awakening, the one who I truly realized the beauty and the stories that can be behind the music. Keep on rocking my brother!
Thanks buddy....I am doing this to inform people and having fun doing so! Unfortunately I was running low on water and energy and it was getting hot that day!
Love the ear tips. Keep them coming. Also tell us in the future when you get to the top of the trail or a viewing stop. I know there are quite a few on old ski run.
